Vista Rebero — Restaurant in Kigali City

Ordered soup which took 45 minutes. When I asked about the delay she told me kitchen ran out of gas. Server put soup in front of me as I’m holding baby. In less than 5 secs my baby nudges the soup and spills. Burning both me and her. I understand accidents happen but the staff did nothing but offer napkins, and quietly slipped us the bill. No one came to check while my baby screamed for 20 mins while we tried to calm her. I paid the bill and asked to speak to a manager. The servers stared at me blankly. Oh and when I asked them to pack away our soup so we can go since my baby is screaming. They first told me they had no way to pack it . I suggested coffee cups. I ordered the fish which exceeded my expectation. It was well cooked with a tasty balance of spices. No ingredient was overwhelming. Portion was generous and filling. I like my food hot and it was the perfect temperature.

The venue was clean and orderly. Staff was friendly though we had a bit of a language barrier but the waitress was accommodating and we figured things out. Unfortunately, their coffee machine wasn't working on that day so I couldn't indulge in a cappuccino. No big deal though, the drink menu provided sufficient choices.
