Sakaw Coffee & Bites Tawangmangu — Restaurant in Central Java

A good coffee shop and cafe with good choices of manual brew and coffee beans. Though the cafe looks traditionally old-fashioned with colonial chandelier and furniture, it runs by a group of young typically- super-polite-yet-friendly locals. The coffee corner is full with various mannual brew tools and a coffee machine with cute tiny bits run cups. It offers coffee beers in bottles as well as temulawak, and spiced chcolotae and some coffee beans from different origin. The menu are simple but taste good. It was too good I forgot to take a pic of my drinks and the banana fritter or "pisang goreng". Located next to the main road, one won't miss this Joglo-style coffee shop. Arrrggghhh this cafe is my favourite one when I go to tawangmangu. It takes for about 3 hours from my house at Prambanan, but sometimes I take the time just to be here, enjoying the nice coffee and meals. You can even buy special coffee bean from tawangmangu at this cafe. No need to worry if you don't like coffee, cause this cafe serves many other drinks like Javanese traditional drinks and more. We came here at 9.30 pm and they accept last order at 10.30 pm. Family type restaurant, outdoor. Very clean and the services is good. They serve javanese dishes from Java fried rice, Java fried noodle, and bistik (Dutch adaptation). They also sell coffee, self roasted. Their coffee is actually good. The price is average.
