Had an awesome dinner at Saraza, the fine dine restaurant in Rajkot. Propounded by masterchef Ajay Chopra, this 3 year old restaurant has enhanced the dining experience for food connoisseurs in Rajkot. Its beautiful high celing grandiose main seating area is tastefully decorated, with adequate lighting. The space between tables is a unique feature - I have not seen any restaurant having so much space between guest tables - giving you a sense of exclusivity. You can enjoy your conversations without fear of somebody overhearing you. There was live music at such soft volume that it does not bother you, yet provides a background to your discussions. The large open kitchen, complete with a wood fired oven, allows you to see your food being prepared behind a huge glass facade - the kitchen is completely and effectively sealed to make sure you don’t get even a slight whiff of the food. It also has a superb bakery, an open al fresco seating area, a cafe, an upper level seating and a huge banquet area and lawn for larger celebrations. Exclusive valet parking facility provides you peace of mind. We ordered - Coco berry mojito - a pink coloured aerated drink infused with berry extracts and spiked with fresh mint leaves Roasted tomato and pepper soup - a thick creamy soup of tomato having a distinct flavour of burnt tomatoes with a hint of chillies. Tasted great with a slice of toasted garlic focaccia. I savoured the soup with some freshly ground black pepper Mexican tortilla soup - a hearty tomato + bean soup with staple mexican flavours, served with thin short slices of tortilla SCA salad - a salad inspired by Saurashtra Cricket Associaton’s kitchen - boiled exotic veggies mixed in pesto sauce and served with thin slices of parmesan cheese. Beautiful! Achari Bharwan paneer - Super soft thick panner slices marinated with achari yogurt based marinade, and stuffed with achari masala. Absolute winner - perfectly baked in tandoor imparting that tinge of burnt flavour! Mushrooms cooked in manchurian style - with small chunks of garlic, spring onions and green capsicum with a soya based sauce. (Could have been little less oily). And last but not the least - Wood fired Contadino Pizza - perfectly baked soft base pizza with toppings of sundried tomatoes, confit garlic, mushrooms, pickled onions and spinach, and added topping of jalapeños, in a red tomato sauce and topped with chewy mozzarella… a fantastic pizza to make it a great meal.. prices are quite reasonable for such great ambience and quality of food. Overall, a great experience - enjoyed the evening with close friends! Enjoy some snaps of the restaurant and the food… Words & Photo Courtesy :- Dear Frien Mr. Rajiv Kamani

A Lukewarm Experience at Saraza Restaurant, Rajkot Rating: ★★☆☆☆ Saraza Restaurant on Kalawad Road in Rajkot left me with mixed feelings after my recent visit. While it had its moments of culinary delight, several aspects of the dining experience fell short of the hype that surrounds this establishment. Let's start with the positives. The food, in terms of taste and quality, was commendable. However, the portion sizes were disappointingly small considering the exorbitant prices. For instance, the Rs. 249/- charge for 10 pieces of Golgappe (Panipuri) seemed excessive, and the Rs. 179/- price tag for just 4 pieces of Zesty Masala Cone (Masala Papad) felt like a stretch. The ambiance, although neat and well-maintained, did not live up to the heightened expectations. It lacked the captivating allure that one would anticipate from a place with such buzz. The digital menu, despite its modern approach, had its drawbacks, with noticeable lag that hindered the overall ordering experience. Additionally, the limited options within each food category left much to be desired. One of the significant letdowns was the lack of hospitality. In a city known for its warm hospitality, Saraza fell short. No offer of water or a welcoming drink during the waiting period was surprising, especially given the reputation they seem to have built. Even average restaurants nowadays extend such basic courtesies, making the absence of these gestures all the more noticeable. On a positive note, the live band provided a pleasant musical backdrop to the evening, adding a touch of enjoyment to the atmosphere. However, it remains uncertain whether this is a consistent feature or an occasional highlight. The washrooms were a bright spot in an otherwise average experience, offering a clean and refreshing space. In conclusion, while Saraza Restaurant may have some redeeming qualities, the overall experience failed to justify the high prices and the restaurant's reputed standing. The lack of hospitality, coupled with the overpricing, makes it difficult to recommend Saraza over other more reasonable dining options in Rajkot that offer similar or even superior standards. For those seeking a better-balanced combination of quality, affordability, and service, exploring alternative dining establishments may prove to be a more rewarding choice.

The more I am exploring this place. More n more I have started loving this place. So adding more points to my review. 1. Dusherra Special Ghari of Saraza.. amazing.. perfectly blended.. creamy, cruncy with perfect sweetness and 10/10 on taste.. touch of typical Surti Ghari.. Unique taste which is definitely different from other sweets.. must try for everyone. Highly recommended 👌 2. Perfect place for your event - may it be family function, friends get together or some social event. They have a huge banquet hall on first floor. Spacious, well illuminated, excellent for meetings and gatherings. We had done many meetings of Indian medical Association Rajkot and Association of Physicians of Rajkot- thoroughly enjoyed every time. Open lawns behind the restaurant is excellent Open space for various social events. In mid October 21 we did family dinner of Association of Physicians of Rajkot and everyone enjoyed the ambience, dinner spread and taste. Few months back we did state level volleyball tournament of IMA Rajkot at same place and it was a perfect venues for same either. In short its a great venue for various events. 3. Restaurant- amazing ambience, beautiful decor, awesome way of serving the things and excellent taste.. need to come again and again. Special thanks to dear friend Kushal bhai for helping us in every event. Mr Rinkesh bhai and Mr Gaurav are most helpful

Date - 1st Aug 21 Ratings are based on my experience . The price at which services are provided, expectations were definitely not met. Giving 2 stars just for the infrastructure and ambience. On a Sunday evening bakery has no donuts, macrons , handful of items available in bakery. Thn, Firstly why to order from app only ?? And thn application payment gateway are not working ultimately had to pay at counter after placing online order. Ordered a mocha and was served with frappe. Asked to change the beverage with correct one but had a below average experience with mocha. Another thing we ordered was a Cheese garlic bread which were not crisp but almost burnt n were not even warm. Pros - only thing I like is normal white bread n pau are really good n must try which has nothing to do with in house cafe n restaurant. Date - 2nd Aug 21 Just after posting review on Sunday Eve I have received a feedback call from a representative of saraza today , She really tried to clear the air and insisted to make another visit so they can make it better a experience.I really appreciate the gesture and giving another star just for this effort. I hope the next time I visit , I will have an experience which will make me revisit this review and ammend it as well for one more time.

The rating is based on my experience with their cafe. Cappuccino and Mocha were ordered. The coffee was not justified to its price. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT AS BELOW... 1. The coffee was not hot. Instead the coffee was warm. And by the time we finished half the coffee, it went cold. We didn't enjoy the coffee since it was served to us due to not being proper hot. That's not how coffee is served. 2. The quality of takeaway cups was little bit inferior. If the coffee had been properly hot, I think that would have been a problem holding it because of very thin material of the takeaway cup. 3. The price as compared to the quality of coffee seems bit higher. I am not saying to reduce the price. I'm saying the quality should have been better. GOOD THINGS ABOUT SARAZA... 1. The place was neat and clean. Hygiene was maintained properly. 2. Staff was very responsive and polite. 3. Timely serving of the order. 4. Keeping all the safety measures of Covid. 5. Parking space is huge. I love the bakery items of Saraza and would soon experience its food in near future. Hope next time I'll get some good experience with its food. All the best.

Dear Saraza team, I am writing to express my deep disappointment with a recent order I received from your restaurant. I paid ₹369 with the expectation of receiving a fair and satisfying quantity of food. Unfortunately, what was delivered was shockingly insufficient and nowhere close to the value paid. Let me make it clear – this is not about the amount of ₹369. It's about the trust a customer places in your brand when they choose to order from you. That trust was clearly misplaced in this instance. I feel not just dissatisfied but misled, and this experience has significantly impacted my perception of your establishment. As a paying customer, I expect basic standards of portion and quality to be upheld, especially when your prices suggest premium service. This is unacceptable, and I hope you take this feedback seriously to ensure no other customer feels this level of disappointment again. Looking forward to your prompt response and an appropriate resolution. This is the quantity I received for Rs 369/- I raised the complaint regarding the order but no solution Not fair at all Horrible experience
