LAVA Resturant — Restaurant in Al Ahsa Governorate

Good food but bad service. I read good things about the service here before I came so I was very disappointed with my first visit. No one was there to receive us when we entered the family section. The employees standing there didn't even look at us so we went to find our own table. When we sat on the table, a lady came to tell us that we need to change our table because we were taking a 6 person table with our group of 4 people (which should be fine if the place was crowded (it was not!) or if she bothered to guide us to our table to begin with). No one bothered to check on us when we were choosing our order and when we finished choosing, we kept calling for the waiter but we still had to wait for 5-10 minutes until he came to take the order. The food tasted really good and we really enjoyed it but the service ruined the experience for me. With that being said, I'm willing to give this place a second chance just because of how good the food is but I will probably stop coming here if the service dosen't improve since I prefer to go to places that appreciate...

Excellent deco and ample parking. The menu has a good variety of continental dishes. The waiters could do with better customer service skills. The waiter that served us was good but others just were not that helpful. Had to call the waiters on numerous occasions and even after seeing me, the waiters did not attend to us. The food was OK and not hot as it should be. The fancy drinks were flat, like soda mixed with syrup and one of the drinks we got didnt even have any ice in it. Overall disappointing, will not be returning.

I like their breakfast. Spanish eggs and french toast and foul ala wesho and fata falafel and chicken waffle. All these dishes are tasty. The only three things I would complain of is that they did not bring all the dishes together. I had my order one by one which was not practical. They also give very few pieces of tiny bread so you keep asking for more and the more is usually late. Third the dishes in general take long time to arrive. I would go for breakfast again and again and would recommend it...
