Just opposite the number 10 number 13 bus halt, for those who travel by bus for easy accessibility. Stumbled upon it, on the way on National Day sightseeing. Hungry for lunch, we stepped in as we craved the famous Laham Mandhi. Needless to say, I echo all the positive reviews of the comments of previous diners. Loveed the ambience, the enclosure in which privacy was guaranteed, with doors or curtains, to shield the diners from prying eyes. The MidEastern setup of sitting on the floor, enjoying the sawan on the majlis, was kind of an ethereal experience for Non Arabs such as us. Restrooms were clean and well kept with Cologne to refresh afterwards. Inside the enclosure after lunch, one can even take time to chillax and to work off the very heavy meal aka sleep!; have a rest, pray as there is facility in the tiny and closure. I found it really romantic, family oriented and very cosy, even amongst friends. As for the food: We ordered Laham Mandhi, with soft white rice. Served with salad, salsa, water, disposable supra and cutlery, served on a silver tray. We ordered shorba as a starter and Lotus Biscoff shake which was cool, thrilling and super delicious as after drinks. The Laham was truly amazing with the piping hot rice, mixed with nuts, fried onions and rasins. The succulent fat doing an injustice to the Arteries, definitely was satisfactory to the hearts content. The meat was tender, well cooked and not too bland. Everything was as expected. Would recommend; will come again. On an improvement; would suggest menu to be in English as well, for the Non- Arabic speaking. The staff could excercise a little more PR. And prices of Mandhi can come down, so the Expats on a stringent budget too, could afford it. Pictures shall post...
Read moreOmg. Its delicious. Alhumdulelah, God gave us the ability to say الحمدالله from our tummies. Food was ordered as meat masloosa with plethora of mixed salad and drinks and Samosa. The rice masloosa; is a dish of rice topped with layers of qursan ( special bread soaked in curry with vegetables) and jareesh ( wheat cooked with yougurt) and topped with flavoured Arabic rice. The condiments included flavoured pasta spegghti, with toasted almonds and nuts. All this needs to be eaten with inhouse made Spicy chutney of tomatoes, mint and lemon and chillies with ton of garlic. My description of food does NOT fo justice of where we were coming from. The meat in top was fall of the boneeeee.... it was so soft. My siblings loved it. We had early lunch ( escaping from work - lol). We had two bottles of ice cold water with one Pepsi. Then we ordered sweets ...after an hour of a break. Freshly baked and, piping hot basboosa and kunafa with cream and pistachio....drizzled with honey or sugary syrup.
Definitely coming again. And this spread only costed 130 sar, for 3 adults. And we brought...
Read moreAlromansia management need to train their reception staff. The person on this branch reception (always standing on the right side cash register) treat very bad. I asked him for a dish. He misunderstood and gave me another order. When i tried (within 2min) to ask him to change the order, he made bad comment and said that i ordered wrong. He then asked me to move in the end of the queue instead of changing me order at the same time. Upon my turn, he again made really bad expression and kept insisting that im ignorant and made a wrong order. During all this time, he kept on mumbling something. Then he has to ultimately change the order because i stayed there for my remaining money. Such a horrible experience. I understand that rush hour is exhausting but a customer bahvior like this damaging the image of the company. It seems like the employees are frustrated and dont like their jobs. Unfortunately, i could find the manager that time to notify this issue. I will never go to that...
