Abu Hassan BBQ' in Saihat is a unique home-based eatery that came highly recommended by my follower, Bichu Raj (@bichuraj). With limited seating, it offers a unique take that sets it apart from typical grill spots in the Saihat/Qatif area.
Here's what we tried:
'Riyash (Lamb Chops)' – SR. 13 each, served in a plate of four. These thick, tender chops stand out with a bold spice blend that adds a subtle heat and deep flavor, making them a must-try. 'Irani Kebab' – SR. 9 per skewer. Not as spiced as the Riyash but equally flavorful and juicy. 'Beef and Chicken Tikka' – SR. 4 each. Succulent and well-marinated, these tikkas offer a unique, spiced taste without being dry. 'Chicken Wings (Tandoori/Zaatar)' – The Tandoori wings are tangy and well-cooked, while the Zaatar flavor leans too sour, so the Tandoori is a safer bet. 'Mutabal' – SR. 10. Homemade, creamy and a great side to the main dishes.
What sets Abu Hassan apart is their generous use of spices that adds heat and depth, making their offerings distinct in this region. It's a perfect spot for a weekend treat, but keep in mind, SEATING IS LIMITED.

Read moreI visited Abu Hassan BBQ after seeing Shayne Haridas's reel, and I must say, they serve some of the finest BBQ in Dammam .The flavors are truly exceptional and stand out compared to other BBQ spots in the area.
What makes this place even more special is the fact that everything is home-cooked. I tried the Riyash, Irani Kabab, and Tandoori Chicken Wings, and honestly, they were some of the best grills I’ve ever had, perfectly seasoned and cooked well.
However, the seating is limited, and it gets really busy during late hours on weekends. I had to visit twice to get a seat, so I’d recommend going on a weekday for a more relaxed experience.
It’s definitely a place I’d revisit with family...
Read moreThe BBQ was ok, though there is still some way to go before it can strongly compete in the market. The chops and Irani kababs were good and stood out but not worth paying 50-55 Sr for just 4 small chops in a quarter plate (without any sauce or salad). However, the seating arrangement seems to be the main drawback for the business. Wishing you continued success...
