While people thronged to get in, reservations were very limited whether for outside dining or indoors. We were lucky to get a central spot along the upholstered wall indoors and we had a good general view. There were only a dozen or so tables in the place, well spaced out. Though service was slow, we were eventually provided with a complimentary basket of papadums and a couple of servings of chutneys.
We ordered from menus uploaded from QR codes on the placemats. The place settings were tasteful, even chic, and featured black porcelain plates that looked like cast iron. The overall color scheme was turquoise on black and tan--and included the natural green of potted palms, all under low lighting.
The waiter was helpful with the ordering and we wound up with a table full of food: shrimp avocado salad, chicken biryani, chicken masala, and tandoori chicken; roti and garlic bread and several sauces and raita. It was a feast! Total...
