SALT — Restaurant in Eastern Province

I was excited at the beginning before I went just after I saw the pictures from the internet. I thought it's just a cafe by the sea as simple as that That I can just come, sit on my tablet, get the order fast and having a nice talk with my friends with the nice view they have I was shocked that when I came there, bunches of people were in a long queue already and it was more than 1 line 1st I needed to be in the queue for making the order and finish the payment After that I had to move to another long queue for picking up my orders Even they divided the pick up counter to 2 sections 1 for meal pick up 1 for drinks pick up Then I had to find the table by myself and 2 times I was walking around the whole area I found them all occupied Finally I found the waitress his name is MENWER he was so nice, friendly and super helpful Thanks for him He took some extra chairs from other people and provided it for me and my friends He even kept coming to us asked about our feedback and asked if we wanted anything he can do for us The food itself is not bad I picked double beef I forgot the name it was fine But then I found out the cashier forgot to put 2 of my orders But it's okay probably he was just too tired that's why They have a nice music The beach where they put the tables is so clean I don't see any rubbish around The washroom is quite far and they need to pay attention more like example they need to keep refilling the tissue, keep the floor dry and they should spray also to give a comfort smell because it...

I've taken a colleague and my bestie to salt ,we ordered the jalapeño burgers,bare in mind they only sell sliders so an order contains two sliders. We also got the salt and vinegar fries with water as our drink and the lotus soft serve. My bestie liked the burger,I did too,very tasty,not too small for a slider n not big enough to waste any part of it or have trouble finishing 😆 , the fries were such a surprising treat really good! The cherry on our experience was the lotus ice cream omg yum! My bestie hates lotus anything so much,but I nudged to try and was very shocked at the flavour,he loved it! About the service, I have mixed feelings about it because the first time I went there,the staff brought our food to us,this time we had to get it ourselves and they didn't give us any tissues or cutlery,I had to go and ask for them 🤔 they didn't seem interested in customer experience only selling which is why I hesitated to even give 4 stars. Please improve the sales techniques and focus on the experience of the customer instead of how much they're spending. It will bring prosperous results. The environment was beautiful but that was the beach itself, no credit for the restaurant or the staff for this part but the fact that it has beach access while u eat,watching the waves while having our lunch changed our stressed moods and refreshed us. This was the place everyone was telling me I had to try and I was disappointed to be quite frank. To begin with, I don’t understand why I have to order everything at the entrance and there’s a minimum SAR 40 per person, so basically if say you finished your main foods and want to get dessert, you would have to go the entrance again and order then pick up from the pick up station. I won’t speak on the attitude of some of the staff, but it needs reevaluation. As for the order, they made a mistake with 4 sliders that my friends had ordered plain and were served with everything. I had the truffle sliders, salt and vinegar fries and original fries, the patty on the slider is too thin, it’s quite similar to the size of a kids meal burger patty although the truffle tasted nice. The salt and vinegar fries weren’t special but the original fries were delicious. As for the seating and atmosphere, the space is nice, the seating is comfortable and spacious and the place is well lit. The unfortunate side is that today it was windy and cold by the sea, only two heaters were on and the tables beside them were taken, when we had asked if any of the other heaters can be turned on, it was mentioned that they have no gas in them and can’t be lit which meant we and the kids with us had to eat while freezing cause we came all the way to this place and didn’t want to eat in the car.
