Alieia — Restaurant in Makkah Region

Ambiance was amazing. Nice view. Good food. Absolutely horrible horrible service. Every single staff make you feel unwelcomed starting from the call center for reservations to the receptionist to the waiters to the managers to the chefs. We had multiple bad incidents 1- they made me pay 200 per person just to book even though i went before and sometimes they don’t ask for it and sometimes they do. Keep in mind there’s no logic behind the pre-payment. First time they told me you have to pay because you’re booking in advance. Second time i called just an hour before going to reserve they still made me pay. After I paid, i decided I really hate their service so I’m not going, they didn’t refund me until now the 1.2K! 2- the first time i went, i told them i had a special occasion my mom’s birthday they prepared a table away from the view, i had to argue so much to get a table next to the sea as if I’m begging them even though there were empty seats!!!!!!! 3- we ordered steak that is medium, it came well-done, we called the manager she insisted it’s medium. We tasted it in front of her told her it’s well done, she took it back to the kitchen then immediately came back with it saying the chef confirms it’s medium. Wtf!!!! We are the customers!!! We tried it!!! You should just take it back and replace it without even arguing. Seriously horrible service and horrible experience in every single step no wonder why it has bad ratings...

Now I can proudly say that we have an European stylish restaurant in Jeddah 🤍

Wide variety of meals that shouldn’t be missed

We tried below orders:

1- Grilled octopus 4/5.. my note it was a bit salty

2- Fried Calamari 2/5.. it was a hard to eat dry and sooooo salty

3- Greek Salad 5/5 amazing dish it is a must to try

4- Raw Salmon 100000/5.. I have eaten this dish in many places the way how it was served and rose presentation with the taste I swear it was the perfect taste that I did not try before.

5- Truffle pasta.. 100/5 I loved this dish truffle taste were amazing and not annoying, pasta taste itself were literally spectacular and fresh

6- Lobster 4/5.. might be cuz it wasn’t rice we loved the lobster but the surrounding pieces were a bit not liked.

7- Sea-bass salt crust.. 1000000/5 it was perfect tasty and the sauce served with cannot be missed.

8- Espresso, 3/5

Overall I would highly recommend everyone to visit Alieia restaurant atmosphere,decoration, hospitality & the professionalism of their staff were magnificent.

I would like to congratulate Ms. Basma of her restaurant and finally we can say that we have a fine dining restaurant at seaside after missing Angelina.

Alieia boasts one of the most enviable locations in Jeddah. With stunning views of the Red Sea and interiors that transport you straight to the Aegean coast, it’s no surprise that the restaurant is visually mesmerizing. The design is modern yet infused with charming Greek elements, clean lines, soft lighting, and calming coastal tones. It’s the kind of place that immediately elevates your mood the moment you step in.

But while Alieia nails the ambiance, the culinary experience unfortunately falls short. For a restaurant positioned at this price point, expectations naturally rise, but the food doesn’t follow suit. The flavors are underwhelming, with dishes that feel more about presentation than substance. Portions are modest, and the taste, sadly, below average for what one would expect from a place of this caliber. The menu itself could use more depth and refinement. It lacks the boldness and authenticity that Greek cuisine is known for.

Pricing is on the higher end, which would be justifiable if the quality matched the setting. But given the lackluster food, the experience leans heavily on the view and vibe rather than the value of the meal.
