Applebee’s — Restaurant in Makkah Region

I visited Applebee's for lunch, enticed by their lunch offer of 49 SAR, which included a main course, starter, and a beverage. I opted for the spicy shrimp wrap and pasta as my main courses, and for starters, I chose the boneless chicken and quesadilla. However, I have to admit that I was not particularly impressed with the food. It was just average, nothing to write home about.

The pasta sauce was especially disappointing, lacking in flavor and not up to my expectations. The spicy shrimp wrap left much to be desired, as it had very few or almost no shrimp, which was quite disappointing considering it was the main highlight of the dish. The quesadilla was decent, but the boneless chicken had an overly sour taste that didn't quite hit the mark.

This was not my first visit to Applebee's, and I can't help but wonder if I simply didn't choose the right dishes this time around. It's possible that their lunch offer is not as good as their regular menu items. However, based on my recent experience, I cannot confidently recommend their lunch offer.

On the positive side, the service at Applebee's was satisfactory, and the staff was attentive and friendly. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant enough, providing a comfortable setting for the meal.

Well for a resturant that was a favorite. This has got to be the worst experience I have had with the Applebees chain. After front of house showed me to a table, I waited more than 15mins to have my order taken. Finally after another 30min my food was served. It appeared everything was pre prepared in plastic bags then just thrown on a plate after it was warmed up. As for waiters, they were either too busy yapping or playing on their mobiles. Management seem little paturbed as he sat jabbering at a table with what looked like, could have been and area manager. While I appreciate this is the end of Ramadan, I had better service elsewhere during Ramadan. Its disgusting that Applebees should put up with such poor quality service. I will not be coming here again.
