Spend years and sleepless nights building trust and credibility, until one irresponsible manager come and destroy all of this in few minutes. Despite being one of the very frequent customers of this restaurant and most of Alfa Company restaurants, yet I have been extremely disappointed by the severe act of careless and unprofessional attitude from this branch manager ( Sahal Al Najjar ). Since my kids like Piatto, they selected it from a list of 10 other restaurants to have our Iftar today, unfortunately I have called the restaurant 2 days earlier and confirmed my reservation, then they asked me to reconfirm it by calling again today 4 PM, I did call them more than 10 times till they answered at 5:45 PM and reconfirmed that my reservation is ok, then arriving to the restaurant at 6:25 PM to find our reserved table used and we were treated in a very careless and unprofessional way from the branch manager claiming that we are 10 minutes late. They even didn’t bother to call me back after confirming to me at 5:45 PM that my reservation is confirmed. Better for you to stop any reservation process in your restaurant as long as it is fake and useless. Thanks to the great area manager Tony who did all possible effort to manage the situation and showed the expected levels of care to a...
Read moreThe service is extremely poor, and the attitude of the waitstaff is among the worst I have ever encountered. For years, this issue has not been resolved. The restaurant was not even crowded today, yet customers are still ignored. I had to call for service for half an hour and no one came. The staff are careless and unprofessional.
I asked a waiter to bring me ketchup since there was none on my table. He said “okay” but never came back. When I went to him again, he ignored me as if I didn’t exist. Even when I tried speaking to other staff members, no one came. This is one of the worst teams I’ve ever dealt with
It is a shame that a restaurant with such popularity treats its customers this way. I study Event Management, Hospitality, and Customer Service, and I regularly tour famous restaurants in Jeddah to evaluate them. I have tried to give Piatto several chances because of the annual tour, yet every time it ends up with the lowest evaluation.
We all know that customer service should always come first, and everyone must take it into account. I understand if the restaurant is crowded, but I cannot accept being ignored—it is simply rude. And in this case, the restaurant was not even busy, so why...
Read moreExcellent Italian food. Nice atmosphere. It wasn't busy when we were there; service was a little slow, which is why I knocked off a star. Salad and bread (wow was it good bread) came out immediately. Waiter didn't bring bread plate, only a salad plate; no plate to dribble oil and vinegar for dipping bread. Drinks didn't come out until after salad and bread finished. The lemon granita frappe was delicious; fresh, tart and sweet at same time, with lemon zest. I'd go back for the drink alone. We had the Roma trio. Loved the lasagna and chicken marinara. I thought the rigatoni alfredo was just ok, but my husband enjoyed it. If you love Olive Garden's version of alfredo sauce, you probably won't like this one. I'm sure many people would enjoy this alfredo, but on this visit I didn't enjoy it. Not creamy and buttery enough. Despite the feedback, meant to offer improvement opportunities to the managers, we did enjoy our meal, the food was excellent overall, my drink was amazing and we will be back. If you want good Italian food that western palates will enjoy, definately check out...
