I tried this place to see how it matched up to the few experiences I've had here in Saudi Arabia with fish and chips. It cost 43 sar which is almost £9.00. I've had proper, authentic British fish and chips and my local fish and chip shop offers a fairly thick and long cod it haddock fillet with loads of actual thick cut chips for around the same price, maybe a bit less. Sayadidah gives you a small, flat piece of fish slightly larger than the palm of an average hand and thin fries that look like they been fried twice, kinda damp and oily. This sums up take away food experiences in the KSA for me: over priced, lacking substance and authenticity. It looks the business on the outside and on the menu, but in reality, it is fake, a sub standard imitation of the real thing. I won't be eating here again, that's for sure. I can make better fish and chips at home by myself. Until you get people from the countries the food represents from international cuisine, you're always gonna get this kind of food. People here don't know much about food having been used to eating meat or chicken with rice and this is reflected in any eating out experience.
