Swiss Butter - Al Oroba — Restaurant in Medina Province

This was must a try during my stay in Madinah. I am from Manchester and was aware of the London branch but had never been, so this was a perfect opportunity. Located at Alorobah Mall which is very pleasant and about 12 mins in a taxi from Masjid Nabwi.

The staff were very welcoming and attentive. I ordered the Ribeye board and asked for medium rare.

The food came at a good time especially for a Friday evening and the restaurant was getting busy.

The steak was cooked to perfection and the butter sauce did not disappoint. The fries and salad were fresh and a great accompaniment. The butter sauce and the steak are definitely the star of the show and it was just gorgeous.

I had to try their dessert and opted for the Molten Chocolate Cake. This was death by chocolate and delicious.

The Manager Abdul Aziz or Abdullah (forgive me for not remembering!) was kind enough to come to my table and took on feedback regarding options for the bread to be warm. We had a good chat about the food and the food scene in general in Madinah…great guy!

The steak at Swiss Butter was nothing short of perfect – tender, flavorful, and enhanced by their signature Swiss butter sauce that added a unique richness. The sides were excellent as well, perfectly complementing the main dish and making every bite satisfying.

I recently had dinner at your restaurant and wanted to share a little feedback and a big thank you! I ordered a meat dish with an extra portion. Unfortunately, both portions were brought at the same time, so by the time I finished the first one, the second had gone cold. I was a little sad about it because the meat was absolutely delicious! I wasn’t going to say anything, but the manager kindly came to check if everything was okay. I shared my feedback, not to complain, just to help. He immediately offered to replace or reheat the second portion, but I declined.I had almost finished eating. What happened next truly touched me: the manager decided not to charge me for the extra portion and even invited me to enjoy a dessert on the house. He said he wanted me to leave happy and I did!
