Kod Bore — Restaurant in City of Valjevo

I have travelled, worked and lived on 6 continents for about the last 40 years. I have had the opportunity to eat great food from all over the world. I am not picky, I'll eat anything that is being put in front of me, from exotic dishes in Shanghai's, to just about any part of a cow in the El Mercado in Uruguay, to visits in Danish Michelin Star restaurants,... and sometimes just a Big Mac . I think a good restaurant experience needs a couple of things to become rated as a 5 star: Good friends to share it with, good balance of Food and drinks and an element of surprise. My experience (at) Kod Bore has all those elements and possibly because it was combined with an excessive amount of Sljivovica.

My top three restaurant experiences ( in no particular order)

Barbacoa Morumbi Shopping, São Palo, Brazil ( Who would figure a restaurant in a Shopping mall could deliver that - Great Baby Picanha, and a fabulous salad bar, which I normally don't visit, but had to here)

*Tacos Don Esteban, Tijuana, Mexico Situated in the domain of Cártel Arellano Félix you get the most radically authentic Tacos Carne Asada, served at a true Mexican Baja California Taqueria (and you gotta try out the Agua Fresca - Limon)

*Kod Bore, Valjevo, Serbia The best BBQ I've ever tasted, from cornfed free range Chicken, Pork Sausages that are way better than any Spanish Chorizo, to the most delicious "Ćevapi". This is the Serbian national Signature dish and coupled with a Šopska salad (made of organic tomatoes which have the most voluptuous and opulous taste ) makes this a culinary hedonistic experience. Awesome grill/BBQ spot - they make the best Ćevapi in all the places I tried throughout Serbia... Everything is made fresh on site and so succulent. It's traditional Rosilj - expect only what's fresh, daily menu changes, gorgeous bread and a menu in Cyrillic. If you're unsure just ask for "mixed grill" and salat. They serve local beer too and although the interior isn't the greatest, they open the beer and BBQ outdoor space in the summer and it's beautiful. This is where the locals go...

We travelled back from Perucac ti Hungary and we stopped without knowing the place. Only grill food could be ordered, we just said yes to a grill plate. Wow, the portion, the taste, the look. It was amazing. More to that my kids got 2 pancakes as gift at the end. More to that we loved the pita bread we asked the 1 left over to be packed, when we got ho.e we realised they packed 2. Wow, wow, wow.
