Mahé - the food was okay.

Visit #1 - the pork tomahawk was overcooked and almost inedible. It was so tough.

Visit #2 - everything was fine in taste. I ordered a salad and a curry. But as I left the restaurant, I felt lightheaded and woozy and was not sure if it was due to something I had eaten.

Visit #3 - went for the Saturday buffet. It’s not worth the cost for anyone paying for it. We only ate there because we were on half board. Nothing to rave home about.

**Background to our stay at the Hilton where mahe restaurant is located —

We spent 7 nights at the Hilton in a private pool villa with half board.

This hotel is 1000% not a foodie destination. If you are into gastronomy or sensational food, it is not the place for you.

It felt like there was something weird happening during our stay - as though the kitchens were full of new staff, undergoing training or new management, or understaffed. It was single handedly the let down of the hotel and the brand.

It is because we stayed for so long at the hotel that we can give a detailed review of each restaurant, as we ate at each one at...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – A true culinary highlight of the Seychelles!

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Mahé Restaurant every night during our 8-night stay at the Hilton – and honestly, it became the heart of our trip. ❤️

The Creole cuisine is simply outstanding – full of flavor, beautifully presented, and you can truly taste the love and care that goes into each dish. Every bite felt like a warm welcome to the Seychellois culture.

The staff deserves just as much praise – they are incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. From day one, they made us feel at home, and that’s something you never forget.

A special shoutout to our favorite waitress, Nelly (if that’s her name – forgive us if we got it wrong!). She was there every evening and managed to surprise us with her warmth and professionalism again and again. She made every dinner even more enjoyable!

We stayed in Villa 217, and we just want to say: You’re amazing. Thank you for everything. We’ll miss you and this restaurant the most. – With...

Conflicting review here. The restaurant location is great. It serves breakfast that is included in the hotel package and dinner, both are with traditional cuisine. Quality of food prepared is very good and well taken care of. Some items are left as an open buffet section and some are for order. However, the service is very slow on many levels: you will be seated on a table without cutlery and even when you ask for them you will wait for some time. if you order food, it takes long time, one day it took them 50 min to get our order of eggs. buffet plates are not replenished after they are finished, if you don’t get your share of the limited quantity, that’s it cheese and cold cuts are left in the warm open air to melt, doesn’t look healthy.

The restaurant has few staff working and once it’s busy, they can’t cope with the extra numbers. The management should put this in mind to ensure proper timely service even when the...
