Looking throughout the window during my flight back home, I was able to reflect my trip to the Seychelles which have sincerely impacted my life in the most positive way ever. During the couple of days I stayed at Takamaka Sky Villas, I was deeply impressed by the simple and happy life that the population lived there. A small family, working at the villas took great care of us. They were always happy and positive about their simple daily routine. No obligations, no stress, no worries. All these emotions embodied in them, radiating warmness just like the hot sun at the beach couple of meters away from Takamaka Sky, made me jealous and reflective of my own busy schedule back home in Netherlands. I want a simple life just like that. Thus, for anyone who is looking to unburden themselves from their anxious routine, I strongly recommend visiting the Seychelles and staying at Takamaka Sky Villas. Warmness, hospitality and joy is all you need and you can intake all these ingredients just at one place - the beautiful beach bellow the villas. I have one word to describe this place: breath-taking. I want to comment also on the food. It was delicious. I could truly see the effort the staff was putting into the creation of one single plate. All dishes were delicious and mouth-watering both in presentation and in taste. From my experience, not eating at Takamaka Sky would not have allowed me to embrace this unique culture. I am in love and I am looking forward to come back as soon...
Read moreUnfortunately I didn't take photos of all other food we ordered here (well, because it was so tasty that we ate it too quickly before even remembering to make a photo) - but believe me, everything was perfect! We tried tuna pizza, burger (of enormous size), grilled fish, fish salad, Creole sushi and dish of the day which was some curry. Everything was really delicious! So you can't mess up with your choice here - just choose anything and it will be really great - and for reasonable price!
Additionally we stayed at this place for two nights (with delicious breakfasts full of local fruits), and we felt like at home here. The owner and his family are very hospitable, always smiling, and he also told us a lot about places to visit nearby, including some nice advice on how to better get there and some details that we could have missed (e.g. that we can see Seychelles giant turtles on Takamaka beach which we would definitely miss if we didn't know where to look for). They also provide free bikes to get around, and may help with renting a car if necessary.
We absolutely loved this place and would stay here longer, unfortunately they are fully booked which is understandable)
Thanks again for your hospitality and wish you all the best with...
Read moreThe most welcoming restaurant we ever visited in Mahe island while being spent the 4th vacation on the Seychelles. This place truly deserves to be visited because of both food and service, especially taking into account that the owner Gregory is almost always there. Separately a couple of words about Gregory here: such a kind and attentive person, it seems to me like we've been friends for ages;) Subsequently we booked a table straight via WhatsApp the day in advance. The food is delicious, I'd recommend everything we ate: pizza, lobster, octopus, bubble waffle as the desert - they are amazingly prepared, spiced as it must be and served lovely. The portions are big enough. I recommend having dinner here at around 6-6.30 pm because of the sunset and evening interior atmosphere, we drove to this restaurant from the North of the island (Beau Vallon), it really deserves IMHO.
Thanks a lot to the staff and especially to Gregory, we wish...
