Takamaka Beach Bar — Restaurant in Praslin

Great location by the beach of Anse Kerlan on Lemuria Resort and Golf overlooking huge granite boulders on each side. Service was prompt and attentive. Menu was inspired by fresh seafood but somehow limited, small selections of wines. When comparing prices to the other restaurant around the island of Praslin, it is quite steep and the portion were somewhat average in size.

I had an octopus salad which was with crunchy greens & passion fruit dressings, the octopus were cut quite thin and considering it is a local produce, there was barely 15 slices in the salad! Good but unmemorable.

Wine was good, an Argentinian Torrontes, small but well curated winelists , however it should be noted that prices were on the high side.

Overall a good experience, in a beautiful settings as the drive entering the property was spectacular, will I return on my next visit to Praslin? Not so sure!

Better eating options along the Côte D'Or stretch of the island!...

Takamaka Beach Bar quickly became one of our favorite spots on Praslin! We enjoyed sushi here a couple of times — always fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. But what really made it part of our daily ritual was their excellent coffee late with almond milk — absolutely perfect every time!

The bar is set on a stunning beach, with a peaceful and relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay for hours. The ambiance is stylish yet laid-back, ideal for both a casual lunch or a slow coffee while taking in the view.

Tried going to the beach bar for lunch. Was stopped at the gate and turned away because we didn’t have a reservation. Called the hotel to make a reservation to find out that only hotel guests can eat there. Complete waste of time and effort. Even with COVID, every other restaurant is able to...
