4.6 for Al fresco Mookata. Came with 3 other guys on a Tuesday 7.30pm, very packed. But managed to find a table after 3 minutes of standing.
Ordered a good tonne of ala carte meat and vegetables. They have two types of chilli, one sweet and the other spicy. The spicy one goes really well with the BBQ meat and a spoonful of rice. Recommend the marinated pork, pork belly, marinated chicken and garlic chicken. Golden mushroom is a must have, fry till golden brown and it'll be juicy having soaked up the pork lard.
Spent about $50 for 4 pax. All full and satisfied. This is my 5th or 6th time here. The taste never disappoints. Just take note to avoid the peak periods. Parking behind the coffee shop is always full but you can always park at nearby HDB just opposite the coffeeshop across the road....

The hotplates are of better quality which ensures that the food doesn't get burnt or stuck, which is a major plus point here: no mess and nasty stuff going into the soup. Staff are pretty friendly and prompt in serving. Good value for money, considering it's in the neighborhood coffee shop setting. It does get busy and crowded, so make sure you come down early or avoid peak hours, but otherwise the staff do try their best to make sure everyone is taken care off, in terms of table clearing and...
Read moreBangkok street mookata in my personal opinion is the best mookata stall opened by a group of young locals. Their food is so tasty that they easily beat mookata stalls opened by Thai.
I remembered how they started their first stall in Tampines, then moved to Bedok. And now they have expanded to more than 5 outlets in Singapore in a short period of time. This speaks a lot.
Pricing is very reasonable. Food is well marinated and tasty. Their Chilli sauces are sweet and spicy Be sure to avoid peak hours as there will be long queues.
As successfully as they are now, I hope they will remain humble and maintain the good service they once had when they had their only stall...
