Had my first lunch at the Canberra Plaza Canteen after living in Canberra for over a year, and I was honestly shocked by the price of this Nasi Padang — $9! I know Malay or Indo-style Nasi Padang tends to be on the pricier side, but I didn’t expect it to be this expensive here.

As you can see, the portion is really small. I swear I only took one bite of the fish — and it’s tiny! The cabbage and potato portions are also minimal.

Not sure if it’s the high rental at Canberra Plaza that’s forcing the seller to price it this way, or if it’s just their own choice to sell at such a steep price — but either way, it really doesn’t feel worth it.

To be honest, I usually get Nasi Padang with a Nasi Lemak base and four generous dishes at Novena for just around $8++.

Don’t think I’ll be coming back here for meals anymore although the Nasi Padang taste not bad — I don’t want to get shocked by another “amazing” price again!

Also, the cleaning aunty here isn’t as friendly or helpful as the normal coffee shop aunties, who often clear your plates even when it’s not really part of their job. The one here seemed pretty free, but still didn’t bother — a small thing, but it really shows the...

bad! ! ! ! Very bad attitude from the drinks store 9/10/22 0800hr.

The service is extremely poor and bad , staffs no manners, bad attitude. Already long queue to buy coffee, she kept telling us to wait, wait she took out the boiled eggs from pot, then wait for her to put new eggs in the pot again, and then still need to wait for her to put two trays of eggs and wipe the wet stove before placing the order slowly.

After her bloody rude to served my order, it's rude to ask me to wait again, because I ordered two sets of toasts and it takes time, I understand. I just wanted to make sure it was two sets she said impatiently that need to wait, and shout me said still have people lining up behind me to order! please! ! ! I just want to confirm the quantity with you, is it so difficult? You are so unwilling, don't put your anger on us.

I don't even want to give it one star, unfortunately the system will not allowed.

Cantine, Look at so many other negative feedbacks about this lady on...

Only had ytf here cos it's just your typical ytf stall in food courts. Edible and service is quick. Pay using NTUC app will be entitled to 10% discount so it becomes quite affordable.

The one thing I cannot stand is patrons alr doing their due diligence to do self return tray but the cleaner auntie really sits there like Dua pek gong, uses phone and drinks kopi and people watching Sia like she doesn't even bother to wipe the tables that are either wet or dirtied by food (the one with a hairband and apron). The other cleaner was ok, quite proactive but was clearing the self return rack. Also, she can take the trays from stall to RE-WIPE them on the table in the 3rd picture but cannot wipe the crumbs and clean that particular table. Then moved to another cleaner table to wipe the trays. I really cannot understand????????????????????

Also, if u are having bfast before 9am, be prepared to feel v warm in here. The plaza management only turns on the Aircon from...

My husband ordered fried fish soup for me here, aunty was so rude. I feel like people who come here to work especially in fnb should really learn the basics of english. Dont have to be smooth in the language. Then she got angry at my husband because he couldnt understand chinese(my husband malay😭). That we dont mind actually. But when we ordered we asked to separate the fish bcs its fried and it will be soggy by the time he reaches home. But aunty didnt. So my husband told her that he said he wanted to separate the fish. But aunty scold him for requesting so.... All i can say is, aunty im sorry my husband cnnt speak chinese, but dont scold him la, we also never scold you for not understanding english😭fried fish stall, i hope you have at least one english speaking person to help her out....we requested for the soup to be added milk but she didnt put also. My husband lazy to ask already later aunty scold again.
