5 stars for the service, 4 stars for the food. But overall an excellent experience and I'll definitely come back again if I'm in neighbourhood. Based on my limited knowledge of this Mookata chain, they have several branches across Singapore. I happened to walk past this branch in Bedok and decided to give it a try. Their selling point is they offer a buffet with 2 types of pricing. 1 for the meat lovers at $14.90 and $19.90 for both meat and seafood. In terms of variety they have around 6 or 7 different types of marinated meat, with all the usual vege and carbo options like instant noodles, rice and tang hoon. They also have an ongoing promo where you get a free drink coupon per person. You can choose from a variety of 4 or 5 drinks and I chose this pokka sparkling peach drink which has very little sugar so it's more healthy I guess. I must mention about their gas stove... it's really powerful! The fire is very strong and if you don't watch your food , it will burn easily but I'd rather choose this than the usual weak stoves that most other chains use. Only bad thing about this coffee shop is there were many smokers there so if you're a non smoker, don't sit near the smoking end of the...

We came here for dinner with the family and while the food itself was decent, the overall dining experience left much to be desired. The main issue was staffing — there was only one poor girl running the entire show on a weekend evening: setting up tables, collecting payment, replenishing items, and washing dishes. It was clear she was doing her best, but the lack of support made service extremely slow and chaotic.
At one point, they ran out of clean plates and even ran out of eggs — I actually considered going out to buy some myself just to keep the mookata going. It was frustrating and disappointing, especially for a weekend dinner crowd.
Not sure what the management was thinking by deploying only one staff member for a busy time like this. It felt unfair to her and certainly affected the experience for customers. Hopefully they sort out their staffing issues soon, because the current setup just...
Read moreAn affordable Mookata buffet located within a coffeeshop, price at $15 per pax, and abit more for seafood options.
The coffeeshop is decently cooling with quite a number of fans.
I appreciate that the cheese dip is included in the buffet and this really enhanced the overall experience. The variety is rather extensive for the price from chicken to pork of different flavours, and a wide variety of vegetables.
However, adding $5 for seafood options is a bad choice. Most of the seafood are not as fresh and even for those that are fresh, the quality is certainly questionable.
Overall, value-for-money. I would recommended the $15 buffet without seafood and the experience will...
