I have booked 2 rooms at four points hotel for 2 nights. Each room package include 2 sets of breakfast and mookata for 2 pax. my parent stay in one room and I stay in another room.
Hotel service was excellent but the whole staycation was destroyed by our 3 meals experience at the eatery.
Attitude got problem. Since we have purchased 2 rooms, by right we should be eligible for 4 set of breakfast. But when we are ordering the fourth breakfast to share, the waitress start to question us alot and said we need to pay extra $18 as we only got three pax. Then we explained to her about our room package, at the end we didn't ordered the 4th breakfast becuz she keep telling us not to waste food and we agreed. During dinner, we went to redeem our second mookata set. After explaining to 3 staff our mookata set, we finally get our meal. I am not sure why when the waiter is serving the mookata set, he keep repeating that this mookata set is for 2 pax. This really makes my parent and I feel very uncomfortable. Also, he only served two set of sauces for us. I don't know why he got such a good memory about the 2 pax set but he can forget to serve us our thai milk tea for TWO. We need ask for the drinks then they will serve. This whole attitude made us feel like we are some cheapo and we are trying to take advantage of them 🙄 I have split the mookata to two days as this is recommended by the receptionist when we checked in. If I know the eatery gonna have problem with us having 3 person eating a 2 pax set, I will never do that haish. 😞 For breakfast, we wanna ordered 4th breakfast is to share the pancake like a dessert.
Staff are not coordinated and very forgetful. When the orders are served, there are alot of missing pieces such as bacon, beans, wrong type of egg, jam, butter and etc. During lunch, we went to the eatery cuz we are lazy to walk out (we should just walk to the nearby hawker 🙄). We booked a 3 pax reservation on eatigo (cuz of the 30% discount 🤗). Walked in the eatery and spend sometime explaining to the staff about the eatigo reservation. After our meal, we went to pay and realised that the 30% discount is not applied. Haish spent some time explaining to them AGAIN. The worst experience is when we redeemed the mookata set for dinner. When we entered, we need to explain to 2 staffs about the room package's mookata set. I don't know why the staff that we have notified about the set, cannot serve us and needed to pass to another waiter who don't know anything. Then we explained to him about the set. After the meal, 😞😞😞 we need to explain to another waitress about our package before we can go out of the eatery 😞
Food no standard. The breakfast is horrible. This is the first time I ate a hard pancake 😱 the nasi goreng rice super dry and hard to swallow. even though the breakfast and mookata set are in my room package, the price of room package is just a total cost of the room, breakfast and mookata. Because I could have book other room package at a cheaper price. So given the pricing of the food served at the eatery, the food really cmi. I would recommend you guys to walk along the riverside to the nearby hawker.
Anyway, the uncle who served us on our first mookata set redemption, is very helpful and friendly. But just Abit forgetful cuz he forgot to give us butter and milk tea 🤣 The another auntie who served our breakfast, is very friendly too as she helped us to bring the meal back to the kitchen for the missing parts. She need to go back and forth 3 times 🤦🏻♀️ cuz the kitchen keep serving missing parts meals. She even gave us extra croissant cuz she feel that one...
Read moreVisited the venue for weekend lunch. The venue is near empty, except for lingering remnants of the breakfast crowd that left soon after too. Venue is pretty spacious and well lit. It has a nice view of the river. Outdoor seating is available too, for customers ordering mookata set.
Staff were all friendly and prompt, probably due to the fact that they have more time to dedicate to us.
We ordered the lobster laksa and bak kut teh. The wait wasn't too long and the staff helpfully set the correct cutlery. Water is chargeable.
Bak kut teh was served first and true to the other reviews, it's good! The soup is rich and flavourful, peppery but not choked with spiciness. It is very enjoyable and comes with adequate servings of pork ribs. The pickled vegetables were crunchy and well marinated. The salty yet slightly sweet profile goes really well with the yam rice. The yam rice was fragrant, with the yam notes rising together with the steam while it's hot. The you tiao was not too old, great for dipping into the soup and addictive as usual. All in all, the portion was great.
The lobster laksa gravy was terrific. It has the rich lemak (coconut) fragrance, with a good dash of laksa leaves. Very smooth and strong broth, with sambal chilli served on the side. The laksa isn't spicy at all, so I do recommend to add the sambal chilli into the laksa to bring the spiciness up a notch. The lobster is reasonably fresh and fit for a single serving. The meatiness does give a nice bite that complete the dish. That said, I feel the main star for the dish isn't the lobster. Rightfully so, it's the laksa broth that steals the show.
Portions were good sized. Great dishes to order, especially with the F&B credits. Take note, discount for bonvoy elite status cannot be applied.

Read moreMy recent dining experience was marred by the restaurant manager's shockingly rude and disrespectful behavior, which tainted the entire atmosphere. From the outset, it was evident that the establishment lacked the expected hospitality. The manager's discourteous interactions with both customers and staff created an uncomfortable environment. The waitstaff appeared demoralized, and the overall ambiance was tense. Despite decent food and ambiance, the manager's appalling treatment overshadowed any positives. I strongly advise against dining here, as no meal is worth enduring such disrespectful behavior. Restaurants should be places of respect and appreciation, qualities this establishment sorely lacked.
In summary, my visit to this restaurant was a regrettable experience, primarily due to the behavior of the manager. While the quality of food and ambiance may have been decent, the appalling treatment meted out by the manager overshadowed any positive aspects. I would caution anyone considering dining here to think twice, as no meal is worth enduring such disrespectful behavior. Restaurants should be places where guests feel valued and appreciated, and sadly, this establishment fell far short of...
