Do you know where the wild things go? They go along to take your honey, la, la, la Break down, now weep, Build up breakfast, now let's eat My love, my love, love, love, la, la, la
Muscle to muscle and toe to toe The fear has gripped me but here I go My heart sinks as I jump up Your hand grips hand as my eyes shut

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food arrived quietly, one plate at a time, like characters entering a scene from a novel whose plot was still unwritten. No fanfare. Just presence.
The fried chicken was the first to draw the eyeāgolden, jagged, unapologetically crisp. It sat next to its quieter sibling, the poached chicken, pale and almost translucent, like something remembered rather than fully present. Coriander leaves were scattered across both like small, deliberate thoughts. I picked up a piece of the fried chicken and bit into it. The flavour was thereāhonest, familiarābut the coating was thick, almost too thick, like armour trying too hard to protect what didnāt need protecting. It made me think of people like that. People who overcompensate.
Beside it, the kangkong in sambal was vibrant, alive with colour and spice. It tasted like a memory of heatābrief, sharp, and strangely comforting. The fish cakes were crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, like secrets wrapped in breadcrumbs. I liked them more than I expected. The egg omelette, flat and golden, reminded me of breakfasts I used to have before the world got complicated.
Each dish came with its own dipādark soy with sliced green chillies, bright orange chili, and a sweet-sour red sauce that lingered a little too long on the tongue. They sat in square dishes like punctuation marks, giving each bite its own ending.
The rice was shaped into a gentle mound, holding its form quietly. It wasnāt trying to impress. It just wanted to be rice. The clear soup beside it was humble, almost monastic, the kind of broth you drink slowly when you need to reset something inside yourself.
The whole meal didnāt take long. The service was efficient, as if the waitstaff already knew what you were going to order before you did. We didnāt talk much. Just ate. Sometimes, thatās enough.
And despite the small flaw in the chicken, everything felt balanced in a way that didnāt need explaining. Just like life on a good dayānot perfect, but...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSubject: Feedback on Recent Visit ā Breach of Halal Policy & SOP
Iāve been a loyal customer for years and have always loved the food and experience here. However, during my recent visit, I encountered a disappointing situation that I feel needs to be addressed.
Another customer brought outside food for their toddler, despite the clear signage stating that no outside food is allowed. More concerning, the food was non-halal and consumed within a halal-certified premise. We raised this with a staff memberāpresumably Thaiāwho had difficulty understanding us but eventually informed the manager.
Surprisingly, the manager did not act on our concern. Instead of reminding the customer about the no outside food policy, she merely responded to their menu queries. Later, the staff tried to assure us that it was ājust chicken,ā but this shows a lack of awareness around halal standards. Non-halal chicken and its associated utensils or containers still pose a contamination risk, especially if thereās spillage or shared surfaces.
We reiterated our concerns at the counter, and the manager mentioned that the group had already been upset earlier due to seating arrangements, so they chose not to address the issue further. This response was very disappointing.
There are two key issues here: Inconsistent enforcement of your own policies, especially when it involves something as important as halal integrity. Lack of staff training on how to handle such sensitive matters and communicate effectively with customers.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously. Many of us choose to dine here because of the halal certification and trust that it is upheld without compromise. I truly hope you will reinforce your SOP and ensure your staff are trained to handle these situations better moving forward.
Sincerely, [A...
