Newly opened along Serangoon Road, friend recommended. So opening hours not accurate, forgiven, up to a point. Waited. Picture shows no lights at 11.30, stated opening time. 11.45 a staff finally opened. I walked in and she asked who am I looking for!? I replied can I order food? No. Today we open at ... 5pm! I can forgive 12, even 1pm. Not ... 5pm! If you're not serving lunch for the day, couldja at least put up a sign? Since that was a no, and the staff had zero customer skills, here's your one star rating. Be happy to increase it when I actually get food instead of get turned away hungry. Advice to anyone wanting to go. For now, call first to make sure they're open! High time I came back for a fair review! FYI did not contact owner so as to give a fair take. Arrived just after 11.30, so the only customer. Eight round tables for up to four pax, two long tables that could squeeze up to six, and one table for two. Nice wall decorations. Nice sides and cold green tea as complimentary. And how sweet; a Lotte ice cream to end off! Ordered the chicken hotplate. Yummy. Onions and carrots nicely soft. So for maybe 50% more than what you would pay at a food court you get much better quality and quantity, plus the sides, plus the green tea, plus the ice cream. Add in the decor and the Korean music it's easy to imagine that you are in a small diner in Seoul. I count 33 items on their menu! Some of course, are more premium and or sharing options. Including dishes I've not seen before, like abalone congee and hangover soup! Lots to try on the next visit! Quite possibly the best chill spot in Boon Keng.

So happy they opened an outlet for neighbourhood folks like us! Love the decor and the vibes as they play kpop music and MVs. I’m surprised there’s actually a lot of seating, and many tables can accommodate BBQ. However, note that it does not have the overhead hood, so you may smell like BBQ afterwards. But at least you can put your bags inside the seat. The tables are also quite small, so 4 pax may find it a bit of a squeeze along the walls, but otherwise very cosy and got vibes. Food was tasty. Tried the Pork belly kimchi platter. I thought it was pre-bbqed but they actually serve you the platter on the grill instead of in a plate, so I guess it’s pre-arranged? Really impressed by the seafood tofu soup/sundubu — there was a whole portion of soft shell crab inside! Very tasty and warming. And the price is acceptable for the soup, but the pork belly + kimchi was $28. The sundubu already comes with rice, so watch the portion! But the service and the freebies are exceptional! There’s 6 types of banchan (not sure if free flow), ice water and even free ice cream you can help yourself to. And they serve the banchan immediately so you don’t have to wait for anyone. Ordering is also via a QR code, which makes it very fuss free but comprehensive as they still provide a physical menu. Overall, nice to have something like this in the neighbourhood. Wishing them good business, will come back to try other parts of the menu.

Look at the like this review get, u will know it’s true. I usually don’t bother write reviews but this standard I simply cannot accept. Army stew was bad, fish cake, hotdog and noodle. It’s a shame to call it army stew. You Can cook Nong shim yourself and add some stuff in will taste better over this. We left 70% of it behind. Fried chicken there is taste on the skin but the meat inside is tasteless. Zero taste. U go buy cp chicken will be better. The steam egg is overcooked for our taste, maybe it’s suppose to be like this. Got burn bitter taste. Even my non fussy kid requests not to eat after 1 mouth. If you have no choice to come here please order their bbq meat and skip the army stew, soups and sides. I think the good reviews are for the meat. For $88.88 there are much better choices. We were forcing ourself to eat so not to waste money which we regretted after. To be fair the staff are good. Can see they try their best to serve you. Kudos to that. Free ice cream. Update: thank you to the owner for the reply but we decline. The food is really too far from anyone’s expectations and no amount of any offering will change that. Maybe you can look into re training your staff or reduce menu items if they can’t cope. Ps: I don’t write reviews when I encounter bad food. You can see my profile, as I totally understand today’s landscape of fnb, it’s not easy. But what was serve to us today is really something we cannot accept. Good day

Korean Food Review: Hankang Pocha, along Serangoon Rd, Singapore Exploring Korean Delights Hankang Pocha, a new outlet along Serangoon Road, offers its first Korean dining cuisine. As you step into the restaurant, you’re greeted by cozy interiors adorned with traditional Korean décor, creating a warm and inviting ambience. Ambience: ★★★☆☆ The ambiance at Hankang Pocha is charming and comfortable. With dim lighting and tasteful Korean decorations, the restaurant provides a cozy setting perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family. Cuisine: ★★★★☆ Hankang Pocha’s menu boasts a variety of classic Korean dishes, promising a flavorful journey through Korean cuisine. The Soybean Paste Stew is a comforting option, although the chicken used seems to lack the freshness expected, hinting at frozen ingredients. The Stone Pot Bibimbap presents a satisfying mix of flavors and textures; however, the preference for Japanese rice over long-grain white rice could enhance the dish’s authenticity. Service: ★★★☆☆ The service at Hankang Pocha is attentive and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience. Conclusion: Whether you’re a fan of Korean classics or seeking to explore new flavors, Hankang Pochacanbe can be considered if you are missing some Korean cuisine. Note: Ratings are subjective and based on the reviewer’s experience and honest review at the time of the visit.

This time we eat here, Side dishes are really good. Tea was really good!! Ice cream for everyone at table is free when u leave a review. Thank you for cleaning up the mess we leave behind. 🙏🏻🔥💯 We ordered army stew for 2-3 pax. Would be good if the meat is shabu slices instead of the small stripe pork belly. It’s overflowing luncheon meat and slices hotdog. The rice with seaweed was really good. Bbq pork belly was abit too chewy for liking and abit under seasoned. (I usually don’t eat too salty) Steam Egg was abit burnt at the bottom. Can be more ‘juicy’ watery. 4 pax $77 They don’t charge GST. We ate so much! Eat here if you have to. Avoid grab haha cause no free flow side dishes. First time trying this place was $47 for grab delivery for this 2-3pax beef rib and potato stew. We feel the portion is rather small for 2 pax. Wish that they give us some kimchi side dishes for delivery as well. Taste really good the beef rib, just wish it’s more. Not really spicy but quite flavourful.

This new place opened up just recently. The fengshui of this stall is questionable. Seen so many other eating places come and go. But I was happy that a Korean food stall opened up here. This place does not take reservations. And the many times I've passed by, it's always been crowded. Wasn't sure if it was cos it was a newly opened place or food really good. so had to give it a try. Turnaround time is fast. Arrived at about 6, was packed. No tables available. By 6.15, 3 parties had finished. Food took about 25 mins to arrived. Decent servings for the price. Ban chan had 6 dishes. A tofu, spinach, fishcake, sausage, potatoes and of course Kim chi. We had 2 servings. Steamed egg came next, it was mediocre The meat platter came and it was quite a big portion. Meat came in thick cuts, but was tender. The wagyu beef cubes were really good. Definitely would come back again
