Staff did not adhere to safe distancing measures in the outlet. We came for dinner at about 6.30pm. We were seated at the first table nearest to the cashier. We placed our order and the line for payment quickly became very long. People are literally queuing beside our table. The staff are preparing and packing the food for takeaway customers at the table behind us.
Hence we felt really uncomfortable and asked the "manager" , Mr. Adrian to arrange us to sit at another table. He just brushed us off as he was busy preparing takeaways and ask us to wait. Please note that the line to make payment is still long and we are literally surrounded by PEOPLE.
Then came another staff to help with takeaway and i asked her to arrange for us to have a different table. No immediate action was taken. The cashier Mr. Yan Fei doesn't have a good attitude either.
We have to wait for the server to serve our food and asked again to have us seated at another table. This is our 3rd time asking. The server is a was kind enough to FINALLY move us to a different table for dining.
And lastly why are the food not properly packaged in the kitchen together with plastic bag before bringing it out for takeaway orders?
Please let us know what action was taken before we proceed...
Read moreI intended to dine there alone but tapau meals for my husband and teenager children. There were tables for 2 available not reserved, 11.45am and only a few diners less than 10% full. The auntie see me no up and said "sorry no seats". She think I blind or what? Just because she anticipates lunch crowd in 45 mins she rather leave the 2 seater tables empty. I bought Kenny Rogers instead, wasn't aware it opened a new outlet. I have dined in Ichiban Boshi several times before but usually with 3-6 other ppl. Food is mediocre by today's standards and not updated in taste nor appearance by much since it first opened. They still serve cha soba which my family loves, better taste and quality than Sakae and Sushi Tei. The only thing that updates is their prices getting higher. The empty plates don't get cleared often and staff is generally slow to respond. Some tables are blind spots for staff it seems like, when we raise our hands nobody notices, staff would walk nearby and not see or were they pretending not to see? I would recommend dining at Sushiro instead where service is great, taste is great, free flow drinks, loyalty gifts, creative platters with new dishes...
Read moreCame during lunch hour, and was seated at a booth beside the kitchen. There were other tables available but staff refuses to let me move as it was meant for 4, but we were only a party of 2. Those larger tables were eventually occupied by parties of 2 and when I raised it, I was ignored. The range of the menu is quite decent, and there are great value for money sets available.
Taste wise was bad, perhaps due to the fact that they could not cope with the lunch time rush. Green tea was never refilled promptly, and food took ages to be served. A bento set we ordered came 40 mins after the last ala carte dish arrived. And this was after repeatedly prompting staff to check on it. I kept getting answers like will check, coming soon etc, but it never surfaced until I told them to cancel and bring me the bill.
Overall, not happy with my dining experience at all. Was expecting it to be at least half decent since it’s part of a rather sizeable group that has several F & B outlets under their belts. Not keen to be...
