Nestled within the old and new housing estate at West Coast, just about 3 to 4 mins walk from West Coast Plaza.

Fully air-conditioned which was nice in the sweltering heat, seating was comfortable. Saw a bunch of office workers, so definitely caters to the people working nearby. However the place is a little plain and seems more for people wanting to eat-and-go, so not really for date nights as a couple, or to impress your CMB/Bumble date.

Had the Wanton Mee while my friend had the White Curry Noodles with pig skin.

Either way, both dishes you can't go wrong, and the price is really affordable too! main dishes start from $5+ to about $10.

As for drinks, my Kopi-O was on point.

Wanton Mee, the noodles were really Q and charsiew very nice to chew on. Sauce was on point and savoury.

As for the White Curry, amazing flavor in the curry soup. Lots of lemak or milk, I think. potent stuff. Definitely will come back again to try other items on the menu if I'm in the area, because it's really not accessible unless you're a West Coast native. Or if you love to journey to the west for...

The cozy, retro-inspired vibe at ISLAND CAFE 爱人茶餐厅 is a nice change of pace from the usual busy kopitiams — cleaner, more comfortable, and a bit more relaxed.
