Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Singapore

Traveling by the red MRT line, alight at Admiralty station and walk over to Kampung Admiralty. Long John Silver's is located along the pathway towards the foyer of Kampung Admiralty.

Long John Silver's has been in SG for a long time and had my meals at this franchise when I was younger. I have yet to give a food establishment such a rating but this is unacceptable. Restaurant feels stuffy, restaurant environment is dirty and with the amount of employees working sluggishly slow, food preparation is really lackluster.

I planned to get breakfast and one should assume if a food establishment serves breakfast, they should get their restaurant ready for consumers before opening up their doors for business. The table I sat on was unexpectedly extremely filthy. Just look at the photos showing the alcohol wipe I used to clean the table, along with the timestamp of my order. Management of Long John Silver's should look into the restaurant ethics and sanitary conditions of each outlet by having regular inspections to avoid possible spread...

DISCLAIMER, I’m a big fan of LJS and I will always order from them, delivery or dine in. However, tonight’s supper is far from superb.

Firstly, the Alaska fish was SUPER SALTY. It’s like they rubbed 10 tablespoons of salt all over the fish batter and packed it for delivery. I didn’t take a picture, because obviously I cant capture the taste of Salty fish.

Secondly, the lid on my drinks cup was loose. The drinks were spilled, as attached. With ice and spilled drinks, my own portion inside the cup was super less.

Thirdly, I ordered clam chowder but it tasted so fishy, especially the clam. I didn’t eat most of it, only the potato chunks. Even though the name is called Clam chowder..

Last. I paid $3.50 for Rice, but the picture looked big, like a standard rice bowl portion, but what came was rice served in a COLESLAW bowl size; which is extremely small and left me unsatisfied.

All in all, salty fish, spilled drinks, fishy clam taste and small rice portion really didn’t make me feel like my $20 was worth...

A Truly Disappointing Dining Experience

My recent visit was profoundly disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the experience was marred by a lack of attention to detail and basic cleanliness. The floors and tables were sticky and oily, immediately creating an unappetizing atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the food failed to redeem the experience. The presentation was haphazard and uninspired. More critically, the dishes themselves were poorly executed. The food was excessively salty, burnt in places, and swimming in oil(look at the plate and you will know how oily the food are. Only managed to eat the scrambled egg and the rest were thrown. The overwhelming greasiness left an unpleasant aftertaste and a lingering feeling of discomfort.

Overall, I cannot recommend. The combination of poor hygiene and substandard food quality renders it a place to avoid. I hope management addresses these serious issues to improve the dining experience for...
