A True Hidden Gem — Exceptional Service, Flawless Food, and Thoughtful Details at Lux Cove Seafood 富景
Lux Cove Seafood is not just another restaurant along East Coast Park—it’s a masterclass in what great dining should feel like. From the moment I stepped in, I knew this was going to be special. Having dined at countless seafood establishments in the area over the years, I can say with confidence that Lux Cove has delivered one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences I’ve had in Singapore.
Unmatched Hospitality That Goes the Extra Mile It was raining heavily when I arrived, and to my surprise, a staff member actually noticed me approaching and ran out into the rain with an umbrella to escort me to the entrance. That level of attentiveness and initiative is something you rarely see these days. But it didn’t stop there—once inside, I was brought upstairs to a comfortable private dining room, and the team even offered a hairdryer to help dry off my soaked shirt.
As if that wasn’t thoughtful enough, they served me a cup of hot ginger tea to warm me up on that cold and wet day. These weren’t just good service moments—they were genuine acts of care that made me feel welcomed, valued, and completely looked after.
Flawless Food, Executed with Precision Now let’s talk about the food—which was absolutely outstanding. • Prawn Paste Chicken: Easily one of the best versions I’ve had. The skin was perfectly crispy with a light, fragrant batter that didn’t overpower the dish. The meat inside was juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. • Beef Cubes: These were beautifully seared on the outside, yet incredibly tender and flavorful on the inside. Each bite was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, seasoned just right without being too salty or heavy. • Steamed Fish: Cooked to absolute perfection. The flesh was firm yet delicate, with a clean sweetness that only comes from truly fresh catch. Paired with a light soy-based sauce, it was subtle, refined, and satisfying.
Every dish we ordered hit the mark. No shortcuts, no overcooked seafood, no overpowering sauces. Just solid cooking, done right.
A Luxurious Yet Approachable Setting The ambiance at Lux Cove lives up to its name—it truly feels like a “luxury cove.” The interior design is tastefully modern, and the dining area feels open and relaxed. Small details, like the premium plates and cutlery, and the elegant turntable in the center of the table, added to the sense that this was a step above your typical East Coast seafood joint.
What impressed me was how they’ve managed to elevate the environment without becoming pretentious. Everything is refined, but not showy. Elegant, yet warm.
Service That Anticipates Rather Than Reacts Throughout the meal, the service remained consistently excellent. The staff were friendly, responsive, and genuinely attentive—not in a scripted or robotic way, but with natural warmth and professionalism. Tea was refilled promptly. Dishes were cleared efficiently. Questions were answered knowledgeably.
I never once had to wave for attention—they always seemed to know just the right moment to approach. That’s the mark of a well-trained, well-led team.
Outstanding Value for Money Despite the luxurious feel and top-tier service, prices were very reasonable. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised at the final bill—it represented excellent value given the quality of food, ambiance, and care that went into every part of the experience. This is a place where you feel you’re getting more than what you pay for, and that’s rare.
Final Verdict Among all the seafood restaurants in East Coast Park, Lux Cove is now my top choice—and by quite a margin. They’ve struck that rare balance: premium without being overpriced, attentive without being overbearing, and comforting without sacrificing quality. Whether you’re hosting guests, celebrating a special occasion, or simply looking for a flawless meal, this is a place you can count on to impress.
Thank you, Lux Cove team, for raising the bar. I’ll be back very soon—with...
Read moreWent for hot pot at this newly discovered restaurant. We were seated in the outdoors. The weather was beautiful and there was a couple singing by the restaurant too. So the whole ambiance was really nice. We were the only table outside and we have the whole beautiful outdoors to ourselves.... nice 😍 Service was warm, friendly and sincere. We were offered to order 2 small soup base instead of one ½ big pot as it would be cheaper, and we can have our own flavors of soup base. Nice idea 💡 . We ordered a ma lak spicy soup base and a pepper pig stomach soup base. Both really good. The dipping sauce was very tasty too. We order shrimp paste. This is as good as those in hongkong. When asked, they actually have employed hk chefs. Unfortunately they did not have the cuttlefish paste which was their recommended dish. Will surely go back for that one🤭. We also order beef, cuttlefish head, the bean curd roll, veggie and their hand pulled noodles which is also super good. I am fussy about noodles, but I love this to bits. I was enjoying my dinner so much that I totally forgot about taking pic until they came to clear the table 😅 Oh yes, fruits was served with compliments as appetizers and it is of a good portion and combination. Dessert is also complimentary... a yummy milk pudding..😋 They also offered a set dinner at a reasonable price. Look forward to try this one.. and also look forward to try the cuttlefish...
Read moreDining here was overall a negative experience for my family on Valentine’s Day. (Note that the restaurant was not at full capacity.)
They called multiple times to confirm our reservation, but there were no available tables when we arrived and we had to wait 15 min to be seated. What was the point of reservation? Food took 1.5h to arrive, other tables around us all were asking for their dishes as well. We asked 4 different servers to bring us our rice but it took 15 more min for rice to arrive, after our food, and food was no longer warm by then.
Comical highlights: Last of our dishes finally arrived at the 1.5h mark and the server set the plate down slanted such that the food fell off the plate. The rotating board in the middle rotates by itself such that our food was permanently going away from us (see video).
Given the abysmal experience, I expected some form of proactive service recovery, maybe even just a pot of complimentary tea that would have cost them nothing. Or maybe just inform us while taking our order that the wait is up to 1-2h?
Unfortunately we were just left waiting. There was an upset couple who stormed off after waiting 2h without food and I feel sorry that their Valentine’s Day dinner was ruined because of this restaurant.
