Was queuing up to get 1 set of their signature dish on 28 Jan 2025, 6.15pm. I was second in queue, with the person in front of me making his order.
When the customer in front of me finish his order and I approached the counter, I was cut off by the cashier who told me âsorry we have too many ordersâ. So I clarified whether does she meant that sheâs not taking any orders, to which she responded with yes.
This is absolutely ridiculous. I could totally understand if youâre not accepting orders because youâre all sold out or youâre closing for the day. But to say youâre not taking any orders because you have too much orders on hand, is literally rejecting business. It makes me think that this stall chooses their customers and decide when they want to sell to their customers.
I wouldâve appreciate it if the cashier told us the estimated waiting time and checked if we are ok with the waiting time before taking out orders.
I hope the management sees this and retrain their staff on how to respond and serve customers properly. If this is how the franchise chooses to do business (e.g. deciding to cut people off when they are getting too much order), then maybe they should restrict their food delivery orders instead or maybe close down their...
Read moreDecided to try as I saw good reviews on Google! Food was okay but experience wasnât too good.
Food - I tried the Ayam Taliwang since thatâs the signature. Rice has light coconut flavor, average in taste. Chicken was good. Itâs a whole chicken thigh and you can taste the grilled aroma. Chili was good too, not too spicy and enjoyable despite the sign putting 3 đśď¸ TBH 4/5 âď¸ on food!
Service (wait) - I went down before 12pm (before peak lunch hour, around 1130) but the wait was ridiculous. Understaffed with only 2 persons (1 in kitchen, 1 serving). I waited around 10mins+ before I could place an order (with only 2 ppl queuing in front, both of whom left the queue after). And then waited another 15mins for my buzzer to sound. Seems like they place a lot of emphasis on delivery orders instead, dine in orders are low priority. The staff was busy packing just delivery orders when I was in queue. Total 25mins ish to queue and get my food is super long considering before 12pm and I only queued because I saw 2 persons ahead. 1/5 âď¸ for service
Overall, food is not bad but I may not revisit to buy with...
Read moreThis is my first time trying the much celebrated Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang and the expectations are high. With 28 outlets across the island, they are possibly one of the fastest growing Nasi Lemak specialist and perhaps the best one in Singapore!
Service rendered here was top notch and I was pleasantly introduced to their signature dish without much fanfare. The dish turned out to be really one of the best tasting Nasi Lemak I have eaten! First up - the chicken was really tender and nicely bakar-ed! Together with the renowned Taliwang sauce, this is really a match made in heaven with the fragrant Lemak rice with whiffs of lemongrass. Adequately salted and not too mushy, the rice has a soft texture that makes it easy to eat. The sambal chilli is pretty good too albeit on the sweeter end but who is to complain! I think I am spoilt by this beautifully executed traditional dish elevated notches above its competition!
Two thumbs up from me for me and I am looking forward to try the rest of their specialties in the...
