Warning: Do come to Poulet in Bugis + outlet if you can wait for at least 25-30mins for your food and face rude waitress. I was here with kid and old folks. Our food order had been a long wait so we asked about it. A waitress, Nora came to us and claimed with her sarcastic voice that: “We are not fast food, we still have to do orders for others and food delivery.” I had to asked her again how long is the wait has to be, she mentioned it’s 20mins. I mentioned to her that it had passed 20mins mark anyway. She checked our order receipts and claimed that it was cause of the steak so it will be longer. I had to tell her can you please go and check the orders? If the chef has not cook yet then we would like to cancel them. For your information, we had ordered 3 drinks, two dishes of breaded dory and one dish of ribeye steak. If her reason is about the steak then what about our breaded fish? Clearly, she needs to attend staff training. She had been arguing her way through with her sarcastic voice instead of offering to go to the kitchen to check our orders. No apologies given from her attitude. Next is we had noticed that the guy who had came and ordered after us, had his food serve first. This has shown to us that they may have missed our orders. In the end, the steak came first then the breaded fish dishes. If this restaurant has no capability to cater to walk in customers do let us know and stop taking orders from delivery orders. Do let us know that it will be a long 30mins wait instead of having the old folk and kid to wait for a long time for food. Nora had clearly shows that delivery orders is more important than us. I’ve been eating poultry in Vivo city but I did not have such a long wait nor having a rude waitress who love to use sarcastic voice to talk to us. We will definitely skip the Bugis+ outlet after this unpleasant visit. It’s unfortunately that I needed to write this unpleasant reviews instead of my usual positive reviews. Ps: we have to pay 10% service charge for a horrible rude service that is worst than fast...
Read moreJust dined at Poulet, and I have to say I was thoroughly disappointed with the quality of the food. The truffle fries that we ordered were visibly burnt. The top half was fine but not the bottom half. You could see black spots and it tasted burnt.
When I wanted to ask one of the waitresses about the fries, they took really long to notice me. They either ignored me twice/ or perhaps really didnt see me. Anyways, the both of them were hanging around near the kitchen counter, facing towards the kitchen and were simply talking. So of course they didn’t see me raising my hands.
Finally, one of them notice me and explained to us that the fries were not burnt and the black spots were the truffle powder. So how come the top half did not have the powder and was fine but the bottom half was? She brought it into to the kitchen and then came back to ask if we wanted a smaller portion for free to replace our fries. For $10.90, no i want a refund (which they did not refunded so oh well).
The Truffle Chicken Alfred was equally disappointing. It was creamy and i love how the chicken is soft. But there was barely a hint of truffle to it.
Overall, it was my first time at Poulet and I’ve heard good things about the restaurant. Unfortunately. the food was a complete letdown and my friend and Ileft feeling unsatisfied and frustrated at the poor quality of the food. I would not recommend this outlet of Poulet to anyone looking for a decent meal.
ps.the waitresses were using their phones near...
Read moreBeen a long while since I visited Poulet. Didn’t start of every well with the ordering process. The 2 pax deal they offered indicated in the menu that the French toast can be included with an additional charge of $4.90. We opted for that and the iPad menu didn’t have the option. Checked with the waitress they said it is not available. Suggested to them to indicate it on the printed menu. While we were deciding what to order another service staff, the supervisor I suppose came to explain that they ran of French Toast for the set meal but the ala carte is available. The set meal French Toast was sold out a month ago we were told. Rather confusing and bewildered that after a month u didn’t update the menu.
When they serves the lemon frizz drink, sticking out of the glass was a dried up twig that has 1-2 leaves that were rotting. Took it out immediately and asked the waitress what it was she said it’s garnish. Took it up to her and showed her that it’s dried and rotting. She just took it with her and no apologies.
The roast chicken and truffle mash potato are still good. Just that the whole dinning experience started off really bad.
It didn’t end off too good too. Waitress came over and told us other table complained that we didn’t put on our masks after we finished eating which we know isn’t true. We have been really ok if they nicely reminded us to wear our masks,
Will never...
