Sengkang Library — Restaurant in Singapore

I think Sengkang Library should be commended for their effort to ensure a welcoming ambience particularly the study room. It seems to have struck a great balance between allowing students to interact and study while maintaining a minimum noise level.

Modern library design: Embracing the needs of contemporary students who value collaboration and discussion , Practical management : Library staff doing rounds to ensure that there is a balance between excessive noise and silence

Now we are living in the modern era, a lively library can be a great hub for creativity , community and engagement

I have visited some libraries where staff would shoo people away while showing displeasure when there is some noise. We have to bear in mind that some kids may have forgotten the rules and a gentle reminder is helpful.

Hope that the other libraries will adopt a similar approach and I appreciate that there is such a great library in sengkang as it has allowed me to effectively to guide my students and my students enjoy...

What I like in libraries: Books that are available that I originally have on my online To-Be-Read (TBR). Spacious environments. Multiple book genres.

The first thing I noticed that drew my attention when I walked in was this little Harry Potter castle, which was on top of a bookshelf. The second thing I noticed was that they had a huge selection of audiovisuals.

Once you walk a bit more towards the left, you’ll see a few bookshelves, and close to those bookshelves is a long white table. And near the white table there are 2 seats close to a window. I think that area is a really nice spot for reading, studying, and using your computers.

If you want straight, you’ll see comics, and a teen section. In between 2 bookshelves, there are 2 seats, for safe distancing. There is also a magazine section.

There is also a quick charge area. Near the quick charge area there are a few shelves of adult fiction.

Overall, I think the Sengkang Library is a nice library for spending a long duration of time with your computer, or having a book you want to read. You can also study in the area of the white table and 2 seats...

The malay staff was so rude and saying my kid spoiling the machine( it was under maintenance) before we at thr. My kid just went to the machine just few second n check it out the wire was came out from the machine... and this malay staff in this compass 1 library was saying is my kid who spoilt it.. Seriously, before my kid was there, the machine(books bug) was down and is under maintenance... Pls check or investigate what was happen first before u say that person who spoilt it or judge that person. This is not the way u treated or talk to the kid... u r adult, u suppost to know how to communicate with kid...... The way she use, the attitude and the tone she talk to my kid, it was so bad... if you having bad mood and not welling to work.. pls take day off..
