The service from both Sasi and Lingam was excellent and professional. Sasi took the initiative to inform me that they needed some time to prepare the new Chicken briyani set and follow up on the request when the set was ready to order. Such proactiveness is rare and professional. They were not rigid and always have a listening ear to listen to the customerโs request and flexible to take in special requests. They went the extra mile to serve the customers. The cutleries were sanitised but I was still concerned. And they sanitised my fork and spoon in boiling water just to give me a peace of mind and went the extra mile. They even gave me a complimentary plate of Indo Malay keropok crackers. The new Chicken briyani set was excellent and as I hated chic breast, they gave me drumstick and thigh instead. So generous of them. The only thing is the briyani rice is too hard and dry that it was difficult to swallow and needed lots of gravy and teh tarik (that came with the set) to soften the rice and help to swallow. Cooking the rice longer and with more water might help to soften the rice to make it easier to swallow. The generous and excellent service and servings from the two staff more than compensate for this which could easily be solved. But such exceptional service is rare in the industry as compared to the nearby Eatzi gourmet at SAFRA Yishun that offer terrible stingy service and servings. Both are Halal but more Muslim and non Muslim preferred eating at Springleaf than at the Eatzi restaurant (Eatzi JP Pepperdine group service standards and culinary standards has really dropped) Thank you to Springleaf and excellent staff...
ย ย ย Read moreWent there yesterday with my wife. It was our 2nd time actually. We ordered Mutton Briyani and Plaster Blaster. The briyani that was served on the tray was so liitle! In their bento tray, it was only half-filled! The other half was for them to place another small tray filled with small 5pcs chunks of mutton (20cent sized meat ). We were served the plaster blaster later on, but no curry was given! After i requested for it, it was served by the male waiter (he didn't look happy throughout our time there, even towards others), on the other side of the table, until i have to stretch my hand to bring it to our side of the table! (we sat at the 4 seater table as there were no seats available for 2 seater earlier). While we were chatting, our table was cleared, by the same male waiter. Immediately after that, a lady waiter straight away came to our table and told us to leave, as she mentioned that other customers were waiting to be seated whereas there were none! The whole time the staff were busy preparing foodpanda/grabfood orders, actually tbh, on top of dine-in customers (there were not many). What an experience for us that day! Being served substandard briyani, terrible customer service experience, plus we were asked to leave immediately afterwards! The owner of Springleaf should take note of this. Should check on their staff and improve the customer service experience, plus not short-changing the menu! We just want to enjoy the food and mind our businesses, but apparently things turn out this way! Will never return...

It is rather crowded on weekends and the place itself is not really big and can accommodate about 20 to 25 pax max.
The food is quite OK. I had the prata and the ultimate prata. The prata was crispy and savoury. The ultimate prata has cheese and plenty of meat inside that makes it savoury and nice. However the fish curry (self service) was just standard and I was hoping that it was more spicy or has more kick. But that's just my opinion. There is a wide range in the menu so do take your pick.
The system is done by getting your seat and then having one from your table to go to the ordering counter to order and pay for it. Then it is a matter of waiting for your food to be sent to your table.
The drinks are standard fare but the teh tarik that I ordered tends to be on the sweet side.
Price wise, it can be a bit on the steep side because of the air-conditioned setting but it is still affordable. There is a waiting time for your order as the place is rather busy especially with takeaway orders from Grab and such so you'll have to be...
