I recently had the pleasure of dining at Super Thai, a restaurant my boyfriend discovered through a Google search for great Thai food, and it was an unforgettable experience. The culinary journey began with the Tom Yam soup, which was nothing short of spectacular. The broth was a perfect balance of spicy, sour, and aromatic flavors, brimming with fresh herbs and succulent seafood. It set the tone for what was to come. The basil minced pork was another standout dish. It was a harmonious blend of savory and spicy, with tender minced pork perfectly cooked with fresh basil leaves. The flavors were vibrant and authentic, transporting me straight to the bustling streets of Thailand. The fried fish with garlic was the perfect finale to the meal. The fish was incredibly fresh, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside, generously topped with golden, fragrant garlic. Stumbled upon Super Thai by Soy Aroy and it’s definitely a hidden gem for Thai food. Portions are generous, flavours are bold, and everything we tried hit the spot.

🥩 Signature Meat Platter – 9/10 A mix of pork cheek, lemongrass chicken, and moo ping, torched right before serving so you get that smoky aroma. The pork cheek was my favourite – incredibly tender and melt-in-your-mouth. The chicken was fragrant with lemongrass and all the meats were seasoned well without being overly salty. The three sauces on the side made it even better.

🥗 Signature Crispy Papaya Salad – 8.5/10 This was so unique – deep-fried papaya strips that turned into something like crunchy chips. Super addictive, especially with the sweet, sour, and spicy som tum sauce. Not much papaya flavour left after frying, but still really fun and tasty.

🍤 Claypot Glass Noodles with King Prawns – 8/10 The glass noodles were cooked with Thai herbs, peppercorns, and onions, making them fragrant and savoury. Loved that the claypot kept everything warm and even gave some crispy bits at the bottom. The prawns were huge and fresh, making it a satisfying dish overall.
