I visited this café last Friday with a friend for late lunch (est. 15:30H) because the variety of dishes and photos online looked appealing. When we arrived, there was only 1 other table in use so we were seated immediately at a corner table with 0 wait time.
Ordering was done through a QR code on the table and payment was quick at the counter. We were also able to use SG60 CDC vouchers. I ordered the cheesy fries, crayfish salted egg pasta, and a vanilla frappe, which costed me SGD$30+, while my friend ordered the rest.
Food started arriving quickly, except for my crayfish salted egg pasta. Each dish smelled heavenly and looked so good upon arrival. However unfortunately, the taste didn't match the presentation. The 2 pasta dishes, the onion rings, and the drinks (bubble milk tea & vanilla frappe) were very plain and the ingredients felt cheap. My crayfish didn't taste fresh and the salted egg flavour was barely there. My vanilla frappe also tasted artificial, like melted-down vanilla-essence candies. The bubble milk tea also had cheap pearls that ruined the drink. The only dish that justifies its high price was the cheesy fries, which had a generous amount of cheese.
Service was average. There was only 1 waiter that could only speak Mandarin Chinese, so we had to switch languages to converse with him. The onion rings were served without any sauces so we requested (in Chinese) for ketchup.
The atmosphere looked really pretty at first, but despite being indoors with the entrance door closed, flies kept bothering us every few seconds so we were swatting them away a lot.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this café. While we were initially excited to return to try more dishes from the large menu, this visit changed our minds. The food doesn't justify the high prices, the service could be better, and the atmosphere was uncomfortable with the flies. Unless you enjoy very plain food (which also doesn't justify the dishes' prices) or just want pretty food pictures, I wouldn't recommend this café. However if you're really keen on visiting, the only dish I'll recommend is the cheesy fries. Everything else, sadly, was very...

I ordered the carbonara and a matcha milk tea thingy to go with it. the carbonara was okayish with alot of ham slices and mushrooms which was cool. The portion was also reasonably big for the price I paid, and the cream was filling but not overly so as some places can be so filling that it kills the experience. There were also distinct bits of cheese? cream cheese? quite smol on the pasta that might have put some ppl off but personally I found it alright
The matcha milk tea was a novel experience which did not particularly stand out, but is pretty decent given the place does not particularly specialise in bubble tea. Came with pearls even though I didn't specify it. The tea itself is not on the gao side with a very mild matcha taste, but the matcha taste went well with the tea taste so this was a W for me. Other than the hardness of the pearls not being consistent, but the taste of the pearls made it almost reminiscent of a more 'branded' store's bubble tea (except cheaper).
for a small heartland store this place was reasonably cheap and reasonably good. also got a very cafe energy which makes it very good for passing time with a drink and some work. that's why I gave the atmosphere...
Read moreBeen coming here after my working hours to get paperwork done on my laptop here. A gem in the neighbourhood, with bonus points towards how accessible it is via public transport (slight biasness as my work place and place of residence is a 10 minute car ride or less).
Has WI-FI connection that works amazing, along with a power charging station beneath some of the tables. The atmosphere is lovely, with music that's easy to listen to playing. There might be a crowd on some days, but it usually tapers off and if you're distracted by noise, pop in your ear buds and you'll find it a rather conducive place to tackle some work on your laptop.
The staff and who I assume to be the owner/manager are AMAZING. They tend to you accordingly. If you need any help, they're easy to approach. You won't be bothered for doing your work, and it just feels so comfortable here! It's air-conditioned too!
Food wise, I enjoyed the bubble tea selection. It's no Wanpo or LIHO, but there's something so nostalgic about the drinks that I've been ordering at least two servings in one sitting (admittedly, I do spend an average of 3 to 4 hours here).
I actually look forward to dropping by to do work if the crowd permits. Thank you so much for being such a gem, and for making my visits so comfortable and...
