My boyfriend and me chanced upon this vegetarian restaurant that serves delicious Indonesian cuisine. This place boasts a cozy atmosphere with lovely friendly staffs. The menu features a variety of traditional Indonesian dishes, such as nasi lemak, nasi pandang, satay and ork luah, all at reasonable prices with generous portions All their food is allium-free, alcohol-free & most items on the menu can be made vegan.
We tried, Rendang Fried Rice It is served with lion-mane’s mushroom rendang, tapioca kerupuk, sunny side up egg, cucumber & tomato. And you can opt for spicy level zero to three. The lion’s mane mushroom replicate the texture similar to beef & it absorbed the redang sauce so well. The rendang wasn’t too spicy, which allowed me to fully appreciate the smoky, coconutty flavour. The rice itself held just the right amount of wok hei & very flavourful, in fact moreflavourful, than the other non-vegetarian fried rice.
Satay Kacang If I did not know that I had entered a vegetarian eating place, I might have mistaken these as the real stuff!!!! And the home-made peanut sauce totally bring it to next level!! We immediately ask if they sell the peanut sauce but sadly they are not for sales =(
Pan-Fried Truffle Gyoza Truffle & gyoza fans must try this by @andso.sg &SO! Crispy on the outside and fulfilling within!! The gyozas has a strong truffle flavour & generously filled with a variety of ingredients including mushroom, cabbage, black fungus and soy protein. The gyoza skin is black because it is made with charcoal powder.
Green Curry Fish This vegetarian green curry satisfy even the most hardcore meat eater! The fish is made using beancurd skin that has a chewy, satisfying texture & the fragrant aromatic green curry reminiscent of the actual curry dish. It's so omforting that keeps you wanting more!
Tahu Telor **This dish can’t be veganised Tofu never look so exciting to eat! Fried Bean curd and egg omelette tower topped with shredded cucumber and Kecap Manis - tasted like rojak but with tofu. I loved that the outside was crunchy with its fried skin, and the inside was soft tofu.
Orh Luak **This dish can’t be veganised Aka "fried oyster omelette" was crispy on point and flavourful. Straw mushroom was used here in replacement of oyster and it does has the texture of the bite feels. And OMG, the dipping chilli sauce was good!
Barbeque Tofu Grilled beancurd paired with a homemade barbeque sauce. Garnished with shredded cucumber & crushed peanuts. Crispy on the outside, chewy & flavourful that make anyone fall in love with tofu!
We want go back try...
Read moreWe always come back again to repeat the dishes, especially the Singkong Santan, that must eat. We ordered Bakso soup and orh luak ("oyster" egg) that never try before, during our visit on Nov 2024. It's thin and crispy on the sides of every pieces of the orh luak with button mushrooms and perfectly fried! Their dishes can say, most of all are really good and unable to say what is no good.
When we are craving for spicy or vegetarian, we will be back again to try their other dishes that we haven't tried before... Lontong for 3* Because no tau kwa, given tau pok instead. But good that they ask which spicy level to choose for your gravy.
Assam fish 3.5* The deep-fried fish slightly too dry. Assam gravy not sour enough for us but tasted good for everyone.
We back again on 3rd week March 2024. Tried BBQ Tofu, Gado Gado, Otah, and fish cake. All are good, but fish cake is not chewy enough as indicated made of konjac. Still have many dishes for us to come back again and again...
Our first time trying Indonesian vegetarian food, on the last week of Feb 2024. We were so impressed that 1st time, we tried the petai with brinjal and green chilies that were dry and not oily. Fragrant sambal paste with green chilies that tasted very little spicy for us.
2nd dish, the Tahu telor also cannot missed! We repeated the information that must be dripped dry and served, so it's not oily at all, so we will be back for this dish again!.
The 3rd dish is also totally different from other non vegeterian Warung restaurants as the Singkong santan, that is, the tapioca leaves really soft with thick fragrance curry gravy. Will be back for other dishes. Their freshly squeezed lime juice also good to go with after a sumptuous meal.

Read more3rd visit with my newborn baby, the walkway and space in between the dining table is narrow. So, it's abit inconvenient to go with a pram. We were there at 2.30pm for late lunch, not crowded, so we managed to shift the table around to get a parking space for the pram. It will be difficult if during lunch peak hours. Ordered the sambar king rice, it's better to order a drink to go with, as the dishes ➕️ rice is dry. The Kampung Fried rice is tasty, full of wokhey, and go well with crispy keropok.
2nd visit after they have moved to taiseng mrt. Ordered their lunch menu at sgd9.90 per dish, drinks at sgd 2.50 per cup.
Kolo mee, fried Maggie noodles and orh luah is tasty. I personally think their orh luah taste better than sauté.
1st time visit at old address. All the dishes is delicious. Must try the Tahu Telor, simply amazing!
I love their Bee Hoon Soto. I love spicy food so asked for it at level 2 spicy. If you are not a spicy lover, you can have it at level 0. The soup is flavory with spices. Portion is suitable for tiny eater. Big eater might consider to add on noodles.
Mee goreng got the wok hey taste that we usually had in Malaysia. The minimum spicy level will be 1.
The freshly squeezed lime goes well with the dishes and helps to reset the tastebuds. Very refreshing.
Will bring family to try on their other dishes before they closed on 27 July. The store will be closed for a period of time until they find a new place. Do follow their FB to get the new location...
