Meet Meat Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Bratislava

Place was nicely decorated and food was very good, however staff was very arrogant, sarkastic and unprofessional, which ruined the whole experience for us. Even before we arrived they refused to take reservation with comment “We are busy and don’t have time to talk to you… and hang up”. Unfortunately we did not listen to our intuition and went there anyway…We eventually got a table as some people did not show up but unfortunately the unpleasant attitude continued… When we tried to order, the server kept interrupting us and made number of disrespecting remarks. If you are just looking for good food and don’t care about the disrespectful and sarcastic attitude from the staff, then you will probably enjoy this place. We are usually looking for the whole dining experience not just what is on the plate and we did not enjoy being disrespected, so we are definitely not planning to come back anytime soon… and as far as we could read from the owners sarcastic responses to other negative reviews, it seems that they are not planning...

Very unprofessional service! I entered today in the (empty - just 1 table was with guests) restaurant - I wanted to make a reservation for another day. I saw a waiter - I walked towards him (he stood alone - not serving anybody at this moment). He didn't ask me at all if he may help me, if I need a table etc. I felt like I am very much disturbing him. So after a strange moment of silence I asked him if I may reserve a table - I did that 2 times as he looked at me like I was speaking Mandarin or some extremely exotic language. When I said "I prefer to have a table in the other (bar) room he asked in a sarcastic way: "which other room?" ( For Info: there are just 2 rooms - so it was obvious which room I meant...) To make the story short: I felt not at all welcome and I expect a different level of service in such kind of "posh restaurant". I know many good restaurants in BA with excellent staff and...

We've been here on our slovakia vacation and it was absolutely great.

The restaurant looked really nice and tidy. Everything was very clean. It was nice to see the chef in his kitchen - you don't get that very often.

Our waiter was really nice. He explained everything to us because there is basically a system where you choose you steak and then you top up with a sauce and some side dishes.

We both ordered a steak and it was absolutely delicious. Personally I prefer my steak "medium rare" and it was on point. My boyfriend got his steak in "medium" and it was also perfectly done. The green asparagus side dish is amazing and it fits very well with the steak itself.

I really recommend the drink "local mule". I couldn't get enough of it :)

I'd highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for the perfect steakhouse...
