U rytiera Devin restauracia — Restaurant in Bratislava

One of the worst, most bizarre experiences I've had visiting an eatery.

After sitting at a table for 10+ minutes with my wife without being noticed by anyone, I decided to go to the counter to check if we should have instead ordered there - albeit the big sign saying "table service." Asked the waitress behind the counter, very politely, if we should wait to be served at the table. Without looking at me, she replied "Of course" in a manner that suggested a hair flip.

I sat back at the table, and after an extra 10 minutes of waiting, we tried to attract the attention of any of the waiters by raising our hand. This didn't work, i.e. we were not even acknowledged in any way. So after a while we started waving. At some point, a seemingly annoyed waiter stopped and waved sarcastically back at us before continuing on with whatever he was busy with. In the meantime a waitress was clearing a table right next to us, somehow without noticing us or at least without making any sign that she might have noticed us.

After over 20 minutes and all of the above, we decided to go away. Mind you, this was 4pm, and there weren't many people in the restaurant at all. I strongly recommend you skip this one, even though the eating options around the castle...

In a lovely spot just below the castle - sign says table service only. Best way to describe the service is 'off-hand': a shrug and an eye-roll when we ordered, cutlery arriving after food and lobbed onto the table. Another shrug when we attempted a Slovak thank you. Saw another customer just walk straight back out when he got the same shrug and eye-roll treatment. Food was fine, shame about the service in an obviously...

Po desiatich rokoch sme podnik navštívili opäť. Zmenil sa jedálny lístok aj ceny. Po tak dlhej dobe s tým treba rátať, plus zodpovedajú turistickej lokalite. Osobne mi však v ponuke dezertov chýbali makové šúľance, ktoré boli vynikajúce a na tie som sa tešil… Zvolili sme klasiku, bryndzové halušky. Na prvý pohľad sme zhodnotili, že samotné halušky sú asi polotovar, pretože pôsobili unifikovane. To však nebol žiaden problém. Ochutnali sme ich a boli naozaj chutné, aj keď v nich bolo cítit okrem bryndze aj údený syr, ktorý v zložení nebol uvedený. Preto jedna hviezdička dole. Načapovaná Plzeň chutila a po túre dobre padla. Keďže bolo veľmi teplo a flaše s vodou sme počas turistiky vypili, proprosili sme čašníka o tri poháre čistej vody. Povedal, že vodu nemá v ponuke a preto nám ju ani nedá, len liter citronády za 7,90 €, čo sme slušne odmietli. Následne pri platení som popýtal ďalšieho čašníka o doplnenie fľaše vodou, čo urobil problémov. To bolo milé. Prostredie podniku sa za tých desať rokov príliš nezmenilo, aj keď potenciál má. Ak hľadáte gastro zážitok, tak Vás sklamem. Ale ak sa potrebujete najesť a načerpať sily po turistike, či obhliadke hradu, tak smelo do toho. Či už prídete pešo, autom, či na bicykli, ktorý si tu máte...
