Xena's Kitchen — Restaurant in Bratislava

Let's start with the "not so good". Except maybe for the drinks, the prices are high, maybe because it's few meters from Austria ;) Yes, food is very good, but that's still maybe too expensive. Plates were served at one side of the table without serving directly to the persons. A waitress took a plate without asking if the person's done with the meal, the cutlery was not even in the position signaling being done with the food. Some plates are beautiful yes, but eating the beef cheek with mashed potato in a kinda-soup-plate is not easy (we forget to mention that to the waitress). Last thing, when we came, we were told we can sit at any table not reserved. We chose a table not reserved (not having the "reserved" sign on table), but we were told that this table is reserved also, without apologizing for confusing us. Yeah, there are worst things, but that's all these little things together that make the experience not perfect in the end. For that price, we expect a better service.

Now with the positive. Food is really really good. Also, their menu, though extensive, offers really interesting things. It was our second visit and there's still something to taste. Beer and drinks are well prepared and served. Add to that the unique atmosphere and rooms design. We'll come back again, as I'm sure they can work out the little things...

The staff was friendly, the food was delicious and served quite quickly. And even though the space between the seat and the table was a bit smaller, we didn't feel bad sitting. Maybe a larger group would have a little discomfort in the arched seat. Some may be surprised by the variety of designs of different parts or objects of the restaurant. Overall, however, the restaurant is cozy and nice with well-maintained toilets. Today the roasted duck tasted great, but next time I'm definitely going to taste the roast ribs that I wanted so...

Visited this restaurant yesterday and the food was delicious. The atmosphere is very festive as it’s Christmas Eve. Me and my friends ordered burgers, which were really tasty. The best part about this whole place is the terrace. The outside bar house has the best atmosphere ever. Also, the bartenders were really nice and professional and hot beverages were just perfect. Would definitely recommend! Also this place is tourist-friendly as the menu is both in Slovak, English and German...
