Read moreI have been visiting this place for 13 years. Used to be good but not anymore. Food quality plummeted. On a good day you get okay food. But twice I got terrible food like today: bitter soup with burnt paprika and main dish without any taste. Guests sitting next to me were complaining about their food, too. Halušky tastes like sand, bryndza is not real bryndza, but a mixture od sheep and cow milk - that's not bryndza, that's cheap fake. Waiter himself said they make "bryndza" like this.
Ladies working in the bakery NEVER smile and usher you to order. Feels like a Thai market.
Waiters are like 16yo, posh like Instagram models. Are you picking them among high school queens?
You cannot pay by card anymore, cash only. 21st century, hello!
Pricing policy is beyond ridiculous: they charge you per slice of bread with your soup! Is this third world? They always charge me more than I actually eat, then I'm forced to take it up with the waiter. Wake up!
You order meat stew. This is usually eaten with halušky, but you have to pay separately for halušky. Like what am I expected to eat it with, bread or salad? Ridiculous.
I'll avoid this place in the future. It's...
Read moreBeautiful surroundings, perfect location in the middle of the main connection route between two largest cities in Slovakia. You can get all the typical Slovak dishes, most of them prepared from locally agricultured ingredients. It is nice to look at the sheep from which the bryndza on your halušky was made, while eating them. On the side of the main restaurant, you can also find their local cheese store, where you can buy some local goods to take away. The service is also good in terms of the waiters’ approach. On the other hand, these positives result in great popularity of this place, which means it’s really crowded all the time and you need to wait for your turn, or more often sit by the table with other hungry travellers. The prices are on average for the quality you get, maybe even slightly better than one would expect. Overall, I enjoy the place, however, it happened to me several times, that I rather turned around to find less crowded place on my way. I definitely...
