It was my first (business) trip to Slowakia, Trencin and just found that awesome pub quite next to the company I visited and somehow after the first time there I decided to go their the whole week.
The first day I just had one of the small burgers they offer on mondays and since I already had lunch it was the perfect size. The bluecheese burger is just awesome and tastes fantastic. It was served with some fries and some uncommon sauce which tasted really good but I just have no idea whats in. While waitingnfor the meal which just takes about 10 minutes or so they serve fried slices of vegetables.
So I quickly decided that I will come the next day also. On one side I was just lazy to search something else, on the other side why should I change the restaurant if I really like that one. On the next day after work, I was usually there between 4 and 6 pm, I tried the pork ribs and again just create cooking. The meat was almost falling off the bones from itself, the marinade was typical for BBQ, fruity and very delicious. The ribs are served with bread which is a nice combination.
On the third day of Remys I tried the beef steak with fries (I unfortunately do not remember the name on the menu), the very nice waiter asked for the cooking level, I prefer beef rare to medium rare, and served me a beer and the vegetable chips. The steak was also very well and on point like I wanted it. Served with fries and a sauce is was also a very nice meal.
The next two days I just ordered burgers again, first the summer burger which is a little bit more fruity and again a bluecheese burger, but this time the real one, not just the small one like on monday. Both were again really great burgers, they look good and taste even better.
The pub itself is somewhat unassumingly from outside but its beauty is coming from inside. Everywhere are signs from whisky and stuff like in an irish pub, the waitresses and waiters are always nice and around if you need something. They speak quite good english so its not to hard to order and communicate. Same for the owner who is also a nice guy who knows how it works.
Therefor I can only thank you guys for that awesome week in Trencin and when ever I will come back to Trencin I will also visit you guys again. Thank you!

Read moreWe arrived 20 minutes before closing time after a long trip and we were tired, stressed and hungry. On our way to Bratislava, even though we made a small detour it was worth it. I will start with the fact that we couldn’t find a parking place which was rising even more the frustration and anger of my bf, we stopped in front of the restaurant and we were not sure if it was the one we found on the web so I went in and I asked if it was Remy’s pub. Jacob, one of the waiters working there said that it is and I asked if they know a place that we could park in. Tammy, another very nice waitress girl she suggested us to park in the front even if there were some cars( we didint want to block someone else) but she suggested that it’s ok we would just block the chef’s car and he would tell us when he would leave) she was very kind and helpful. We sat at a table outside even though the place seemed so nice and cozy on the inside. We choose the terrace as we are smokers and the weather was just amazing. Jacob came and we told him what we are craving ( ribs ) he suggested us a nice burger and even tho the ribs were taking around 30 minutes, he asked the chef and he agreed to make it for us even tho the place was soon to close. And about the food. I think it was the best part of our trip which didint really go as planned. From the amazing IPA beer, to the home made tasty chips, I don’t even think it’s worth for me to mention how tasty was the burger and the ribs which was melting in your mouth. The French fries which were for sure real ones (not frozen ones). We chose the place by seeing the reviews and even though it doesn’t need more marketing. I want to highlight how important and touching was to be greeted and helped by these friendly people, the overall cozy welcoming environment and the very nice staff! Good job for the management! Read moreDo Remysu sme si zašli pre to, že sme počuli naň veľa dobrých ohlasov ešte minulý rok, ale spravili sme si cestu až dnes. Spolu s kamarátom, ktorý u vás bol už viac krát a chválil vás, aj keď vravel, že sú burgre lepšie v Bratislave. Možno aj to, že človek už podľa rečí má vysoké očakávanie, prispelo k nakoniec k tomu, že by som Remys celkovo hodnotila ako úplne obyčajný priemer. Z asi 4 burgrov na výber som si vybrala Paroháč, nakoľko na mňa opisom v jedálnom lístku pôsobil najviac originálne. Hruška, lesné ovocie, syr typu brie, jelenie mäsko, slaninka. Čakala som od toho, že všetko toto bude sladké a to (asi ?) chutney z lesného ovocia tam pridá trošku takú sviežu, kyselkavú chuť. Avšak chuťovo ma to neoslovilo, bolo to len sladké a mastné (asi skrz tú slaninku). Nehovorím, dalo sa to zjesť, ale čosi tomu chýbalo, čo by som tam rozlíšila hneď na prvý moment, ako zakusnem, niečo, čo tú sladkosť troška rozbije a celé to nebude pôsobiť tak jednoliato. Takže taký normálny burger. Hranolky mám radšej, keď majú tie konce také "křupavé." Ale hranolky sú hranolky, na tých v podstate neni moc čo ani pochváliť, ani skritizovať. Dôležitá je k nim omáčka a ja som si objednala tú z údených jalapenos. A... neviem, či to bola ona, či sa nepomýlili, ja som proste nejak nerozoznala, aká vlastne chuťovo bola, čakala som, že to bude trošku štipľavejšie, alebo tak, chutilo mi to veľmi, veľmi jemne a tak majonézovo. Možno to tak má ale byť, ja neviem, či jalapenos papričky po zaúdení strácajú pikantnosť alebo čo, takže ani neviem, čo som mala od toho očakávať, možno som bola hlúpa, že som čakala, že to bude aspoň trošku štípať. Ale keby mi ktosi donesie túto omáčku a povie mi, že to je majonéza a trocha paprikovej pasty zo sladkej papriky, tak nepoznám rozdiel. Môj partner si objednal k svojim hranolkám tiež túto istú omáčku a potom ešte tú cvikľovú. Čašníčka troška asi najskôr nerozumela, prečo by chcel dve omáčky, tak sa spýtala ako to chceme, na čo aj po zopakovaní a odkývnutí hlavou, že chápe, priniesla aj tak o jednu omáčku menej. Ale hneď po upozornení doniesla k jedlu aj druhú, takže by som to neriešila, keby nechcem nadviazať na ďalšiu tému a to, že sme sedeli pri barovom pulte a obsluha sa tam pred zákazníkmi začala medzi sebou hádať, kvôli nejakým ľuďom, čo čakali pol hodinu na 3 pivá, a že musia medzi sebou komunikovať a že tam je chaos. Tohoto by zákazníci v žiadnom prípade nemali byť svedkami, takéto veci sa riešia v súkromí. My sme mali svoj rozhovor pri stole, ale ostali sme ticho zo zvedavosti počúvať, čo sa to tam deje. 😅 Toto si určite vyriešte, lebo obsluha bola príjemná podľa mňa, ale ak majú medzi sebou nejaké spory, tak sa to časom bude prenášať aj do pracovného výkonu. Inak, k cene nemám výhrady, veď tie suroviny čosi stoja.... a je super, že podporujete Slovenských dodávateľov. 🙂 Boli sme tam inak v Sobotu o 15, najskôr tam bolo troška rušno (mne vyhovovalo, partner a kamarát, čo bol s nami, tvrdili, že majú radšej tichšie miesta na konverzáciu). Po hodinke tam bolo dosť voľných stolov a príjemná atmosféra na posedenie pri čapovanej kofole/pivku/čo má kto rád. Parkovať sa dalo tiež na ulici, pozdĺž, nemali sme problém. Koniec koncov, suma sumárum, tento podnik neurazil...ale ani nenadchol. Kamarát, ktorý u vás bol už viac krát pred rokom zhodnotil, že ostal sklamaný, lebo predtým sa mu tie burgre zdali lepšie, ale možno to bolo tým, že si teraz nevybral asi nejaký zaujímavejší. My sme čakali od toho viac, na to, aký je tento podnik vychýrený pre burgre, tak mne to prišlo také... obyčajné. Ale dúfam, že moja recenzia padne na úrodnú pôdu, že tu, tam pošpekulujete ešte nad tým, čo do budúcnosti "vytuniť" a na čom popracovať. Píšem to ako obyčajný človek, možno mám jednoduché predstavy o náročnom biznise a nedá sa vyhovieť každému. Ja si pôjdem ten "svoj" burgrík ale asi ešte hľadať...
