Penzion Sinji Vrh — Restaurant in Ajdovščina

The most outstanding part of my stay at Sinji Vrh was the care and attention taken by the owners, Christian and his mother Irma. They were just superb! Here I was on my first visit to the place with a medically mandated diet (Vegan & Gluten-free), and instead of it being a problem, it brought out the creativity in Christian & Irma. Add to that the super-fresh produce from their own farm, and the excellent cooking, and you can see why I had a wonderful experience. But that is not all. The location is great - an endless view of the valley and further lines of hills until the Mediterranean Sea, comfortable lounging areas, and ever-attentive service. The only reason I have not given it the 5th star is because the rooms and bathrooms are a bit simple, although that is what one should expect in this out of the way place. We wanted a beautiful, secluded place to organise our small wedding party and we found it here with Beti and Kristijan. They were trully helpful and understanding and tried to fulfill all our wishes, which they achieved to the last one. They made all of us feel welcome and comfortable. They also catered our wedding, the food was unpretentious but absolutely delicious, homemade and locally sourced. Which is exactly what we wanted. Our wedding day was trully ours, thanks to them. We ended our 10 day trip in Slovenia, traveling with our 7 month old daughter, by staying 3 nights at Penzion Sinji vrh. The trip could not have a better ending. We really enjoyed the hospitality and helpfulness of Beti and Kristjan. The food was simply fantastic - local dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. Never ate as much as we did in these three days. The room had everything we needed and was super clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to everyone. We certainly will come back on our next trip to Slovenia.
