Restaurant near Hubelj — Restaurant in Ajdovščina

This is the best place for a welcoming meal. Proper home cooked food every time. On our last visit in December 2022, my family and I had travelled around Europe. We couldn’t wait to get back to the Vipava valley and head up to Gostilna pri izviru Hubelj for the best food and service in Europe😍. So, to all the haters leaving cruel, incorrect and defamatory comments- you deserve no better place than Macdonalds, so I suggest you get your selfish, arrogant and narrow minded arses back there. You lack culture, civility and humbleness. Hubelj- please continue to please the majority of visitors to your wonderful place! We look forward to visiting again soon. Love...

Very disappointing experience. When we arrived, there were no outdoor tables available, so we were seated inside — where it was extremely hot and uncomfortable. The old air conditioner on the wall didn’t work at all.

I opened a window so my kids could breathe, but a waitress asked me to close it — saying it would disturb the broken air conditioner. Then another waitress came over and said, “If you don’t like it, you can go somewhere else.”

I pointed out that the place was clearly too hot to stay in, and she admitted they couldn’t afford a proper AC — despite the café being full and operating on weekends. No smiles, no kindness. We left in...

If you like TERRIBLY UNFRIENDLY personnel, this is the place to go. Food is outdated and very oily. You can smell the burned oil. So is the place. The owner should consider putting in some money in renovation of the place. The older lady working there is the worst. Not only that the food which was served to us was not the food we ordered also the lady had no problem talking about us to the other girl working there because she didn’t know I can understand Slovene.... I DO NOT recommend this place! They will never see us again....
