Its lakeside location, the cool, vibrant music selection, and the most epic selection of beverages I've seen in a while make this newly opened place an instant favourite. Despite being in the middle of winter season and visiting on an afternoon that slowly slipped into the night, sitting outside was a logical choice. The music was just the right volume and a perfect vibe, yet it still allowed a conversation.
My party of three had two rounds of drinks, from coffees, negroni and mulled wine, to cocktails and everything was served perfectly and served the purpose as well. The staff were friendly and utterly professional and despite the fact that the place was rather full we were served in a timely manner. Since we were sitting outside, nobody said anything about the dog being with us but I have yet to see if dogs are allowed inside. It is an important thing to me as there are not that many places that allow pets to come inside.
One small but equally important downside that I need to mention was the toilet room that was out of toilet paper, the soap dispenser at the sink was empty, and only cold running water was available, which could be perceived as a fail, possibly due to the café being full to the brim just up until minutes before I went to the toilets which resulted in a slight overlook on the part of the cleaning staff. Come to think of it, it may not have been so slight. Imagine someone needed more than just a brief refreshment and some relief and found out they were out of practically everything that makes a water closet what it is.
The place was very much alive with visitors and choosing it as our landing point after a lovely walk along the lake with our dog could not be more of substance. It was my first time there and it hasn't been open for a very long time but I am convinced that I will be coming back for more. I cannot wait to see how it looks and feels in spring and especially in summer months. Will also report back on the toilet situation but all in all, a very...
Read morethe views of the lake are beautiful. calm and serene, with lots of greenery around it, and the open terrace does well to let the guests soak it all in.
the offer of drinks is extensive, and likely that everyone has something to pick from.
whisky lovers won't be disappointed with the selection, although pricing is higher than one sees even in some places in Ljubljana.
we tried two cakes - snickers and vegan cheesecake - meh. if you must and need to try something sweet, perhaps better off with ice cream.
service was hit and miss, it being a crowded Sunday afternoon. the person serving the outside area seemed to be overworked and flustered a bit.
go there for the views, fresh air and the location. rest is just part of...
Read moreA short drive up from the main highway (E57), and it was well worth it!! We had lunch here and LOVED the chicken burger. The staff were very kind and they didn’t stop smiling. They spoke as much English as they could, which we really appreciated! Really peaceful spot overlooking the water. Plenty of parking and the price for lunch and iced coffees was great. If we are ever driving through Slovenia again we will come back and enjoy Kavarna Panorama...
