Pros: the waitress was very nice and served us very quickly very good homemade ice tea nice interior, quiet music
Cons: we didn't enjoy the food. Both the burgers and the fried potatoes were not seasoned enough to our taste and tasted quite sour, which felt very weird for a burger. since they use coconut oil for their potatoes, the restaurant smelled of fried coconut oil which wasn't very appetizing. most importantly, when we received our bill, we discovered that we were charged more than 20% higher than we expected (8.50 vs 6.50 for a burger and I think also 3.50 vs 2.50 for the ice tea). When we confronted the owner about it, she said it's because the prices in the English menu weren't updated and the Slovenian menu had the right prices - a menu we clearly never read in a language we clearly couldn't speak. We told her it's not our fault and we should be charged according to the prices in the menu we received. She continued arguing with us for a good five minutes, eventually dropped some remark in Slovenian about "making a scene" and finally paid us the difference back. We left the place with a very unpleasant feeling. Honest mistakes can happen, but you need to take responsibility and not offend...
Read moreThe meat is the best. I've tried burgers: classic, classic gourmet (with truffles) and a classic big, which has additional toppings - fried quail egg among them. What I really liked was that they don't bloat the burgers with too many or too much of toppings, so that meat - which is superb - really fronts taste-wise. I had fries as well, which were nice.
The decor is odd, charming and fun. It's like one of those pictures, where you first see a dog, but then you start noticing that things are off, like he has a beak and one foot is blue. Here you notice lots of plants at first, but then you start noticing funny signs, cases of herbs and a shower head above one of the tables 😂.
If you are a craft beer lover, be advised that there's an extra menu for those; main menu holds only a list of local lagers.
All in all 5/5...
Read moreWe were on a business trip, driving through the area, and were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It’s not a fast food place, but rather fine dining oriented—as a well-designed, relaxed restaurant offering high-quality seafood and incredibly delicious burgers. The service was very friendly and attentive. The staff also recommended a wonderful wine that complemented our meal perfectly—we liked it so much, we even bought a bottle to take home. The atmosphere was welcoming, with soft, unobtrusive background music that created a relaxed ambiance. When driving through this area, we will definitely come back....
