1 Kilo — Restaurant in Upravna enota Koper / Unità amministrativa Capodistria

EDIT 2022: unfortunately I need to lower my score from 4 to 3. The food is still good (deserves 4), but service became really poor (maybe 2 stars). When asked for children's chair, the younger waitress tried to help with one they have in a corner, but the older one said we shouldn't bother as it is broken. When I asked if they have something else the older waitress responded "we don't have anything for children" with a tone of voice that suggested children are not welcome there. Even prior to that she seemed really bored and not helpful when taking our order. I'm not sure if/when I will be coming back.

2021 review: Good food, friendly staff. I especially like the concept of this place, which is meant for groups of at least few people that share the food on the table like at home. And they stick to the concept of group meals to the end - you can only order 1kg of pancakes/crepes (8), not a usual portion. Only issue we had was quite a few mussels (pedoči) had broken shells, but the taste was great (especially the sauce). Highly recommended, we will come...

Although Slovenian Coastline is famous for bad restaurants, this one is a bright example of the opposite. This is a restaurant that serves everything by A KILO, so if you came to eat here, bring your friends with you. At least 4 of them, and hungry ones. Of course, you cannot expect french quisine, but standard coastal food, like calamari, fish & chips variations, steaks, grill, pancakes and other sweets... So we ordered a kilo of something marine, and we thought that would be the end of that. Nope. You get complimentary kilo of chips with that fish, bon apetit, thank-you-very-much. Really - bring some hungry friends. And a nice place it is, too. Food is decent, place is clean, waitresses are Speedy-Gonzales quick, and nice, friendly... Book a serious diet plan holiday in the nearby health clinic and go there for a banquet....

You get a kilo of food of your choice or you can split it. Mostly deepfried/grilled stuff. The calamari was okay. Personel is friendly but this restaurant tries to lift of the busy camping nearby with too many tables and too little personel/small kitchen to get it on. We were on time and got our food and service in time, but saw several people leave.
