Gostilna Mahorčič — Restaurant in Upravna enota Sežana

We love this restaurant, therefore we keep coming back. ;) I can even convince my 13Y old son to climb the nearby mountain Slavnik (otherwise highly recommend it, as it offers awesome views to the bay of Koper/Trieste) when I promise him to have lunch at Mahorčič 😅

The atmosphere is cosy and a delightful place to enjoy a meal.

The menu is showcasing locally sourced ingredients that elevate each dish. Dishes are representing tastes of the Karst and Brkini region that Chef Ksenija prepares creatively and with modern twist. Since we can never decided which dishes to order (all are amazing), we always choose 7 - course menu ☺️

We bumped into the restaurant on our way back from skocjan caves and it was such a delightful experience 😊. The food was so super good. We tool the 5 course tasting menu and I was recommended a while wine(lugana) . Apart from the 5 course there were other tiny dishes in the beginning that were complimentary which were so tasty too. Everything that we ate there impressed us but the gnocchi and tomato and lentils tartar and pate were super amazing. We would definitely recommend and would like to go there again. A-MA-ZING!!! Worth every euro, and it is not even expensive. They really share their passion for food in every little detail and the food is mind blowing! We had the best deer in our lives and every dish was unique. Flavours we didn’t know could be combined and textures we’ve never experienced. Everything fresh, everything delicious.
