The restaurant looks really promising at first — five Michelin plates at the entrance definitely raise expectations. And while the place did feel special, it unfortunately wasn’t in the right ways.
I’m not a food critic, so I won’t go too deep into the dishes, but finding canned mushrooms on a pizza at a place like this was disappointing. Still, the biggest letdown was the service.
Our waiter seemed completely uninterested — no greeting, no smile, just took our order and left. When we didn’t finish our pizzas, he didn’t even ask if we wanted to take them home. He just brought over some tin foil and left it on the table. We asked for a pizza box, and again, he dropped it off without a word — we had to pack everything ourselves.
We also asked for coffee, got a “in a second,” and… he never came back. Then there was a €1 per person table setting fee, which felt ridiculous given the level of service. When it came time to pay, we found the waiter — and yes, he still asked for a tip.
As we left, the only proper goodbye came from a cat sitting at one of the tables inside — probably right before new guests would be seated.
The food wasn’t terrible, but the whole experience felt careless and cold. For a place that seems to take pride in appearances, the service just...
Read moreAs a starter, we tried the fried sushi and the bruschetta with prosciutto. The bruschetta was very good, the salty bread complimented so well with the toppings, would definitely recommend. The fried sushi was tasty as well, the croquettes of rice together with the fish toppings really gave the feeling like you could've ordered them at a sushi place. They are very sticky to the teeth though, so be warned 😄.
As main dishes, we had the pizza diavola and the grilled squid. The pizza diavola was very fun, lots of cheese and peppery goodness to be had. it's not a light meal, so you definitely won't leave the restaurant hungry. The grilled squid was very tender on the inside, and had a caramelised, well-seasoned crust. It came on a bed of fresh cheese and basil oil. We definitely would recommend the squid if you are contemplating getting this. The squid optionally come with wokked vegetables which didn't compliment the main dish, but were nonetheless tasty on their own. We also received a small portion of bread.
We had a small mix up with the reservations, but they were friendly and...
Read moreMamma mia, what a surprise. Gourmet pizza is always a gamble. You either fly high or crash hard. But this time? This one felt like a warm hug straight to the soul. A round poem, hot and fragrant.
The moment it landed on the table I knew. This pizza spoke. The crust was crisp just right but inside soft like a grandmother's embrace. And the roast beef on top? Sliced thin, perfectly pink, melting in the mouth. The cheese? Not overpowering, just there, humble, but making all the difference.
Every bite was a journey. The balance was spot on. You could taste the respect for the ingredients but also the courage to go bold. This is the kind of pizza that makes you pause, close your eyes and say, "Yes, this is it."
Real compliments to the chef. This pizza isn't just good. It's made with love. And you...
