Mitko died after 30 years of torture...his owner, relying on the protection of the local authorities, preferred to let Mitko die rather than respect Slovenian and European animal protection laws and entrust him to Four Paws. There is nothing human about these individuals and they are dangerous.
Everyday, and for the last 26 years, inhabitants are passing by the today agonizing bear Mitko in cage. Mitko has no place to hide from the sun and visitors, on concrete, bad for his paws, walking back and forth in his urine, eats the remaining of guests food. Mitko has no access to water, grass and trees.... There is a lot space, it's in the mountains. It would have been a compassionate act to build a nice sanctuary with the help of wildlife organisations and volunteers... (And for other animals, horses and cows ....) It's forbidden for private to keep a bear in cage since 2004. Negotiations between parties to free 4 caged bears have been postponed over the years . Waiting that the bears die will help saving the face of owners. Dolgo čakanje na rezervirano mizo, dolgo čakanje na pospravljeno mizo. Neprijazno vodstveno osebje. Zanič hrana: Razkuhani njoki in sumljiva divjačinska omaka. Umazani kozarci. Obisk sanitarne inšpekcije ne bi bil odveč. Za namenček je bil v kletki na ogled poginul zajec, na katerega so opozorili otroci. Konji do trebuha v blatu in dreku. Naj že nekdo zapre to luknjo.
ODGOVOR LASTNIKU: Na kmetijo sem poklical zaradi napovedi slabega vremena v popoldanskem času in praznične gužve. Gospa na telefonu je preverila in mi dogovorila, da je za ob 12h notri že vse polno, da je se bo sprostilo po 15h. Zato sem rezerviral mizo za po 15h. Na predviden dan smo prišli po 15h in šel sem povprašat za šank glede rezervacije. Po krajšem čakanju pred pultom sem pobaral najbližjega za šankom (od štirih tam), ta me je usmeril do osebe, ki se nahaja v zunanji zaprti jedilnici. Poiskal sem gospodično in ta mi je povedala, da še ni prosto, da pa se lahko usedemo zunaj in počakamo oz. jemo zunaj. Usedli smo se za prosto zunanjo nepospravljeno mizo. Strežba nas ni opazila (pogled, dvig roke,...), zato sem ponovno šel vprašat k šanku - pogledajo na seznam in dobim odgovor: Vi imate napisano rezervacijo za zunaj! Omenim, da smo sicer rezervirali notri (zato sem rezerviral) in da jih zdaj čakamo zunaj. Odgovor se glasi: Na seznamu piše zunaj. Počakajte! OK, vrnem se k zunanji nepospravljeni mizi in sporočim rečeno. Strežba nas še vedno ignorira. Čez čas pri šanku naročimo in plačamo aperitiv. Od tod podatek o umazanih kozarcih. (miza od prejšnjih gostov je bila pospravljena skupaj z našimi praznimi kozarci) Ker res ni bilo odziva sem šel ponovno vprašat k šanku kaj zdaj nameravajo z nami (Če bi kdo od strežbe prišel k mizi bi naročili pijačo in hrano ). Starejši osebek me poskuša prepričati, da smo mi krivi za nastalo situacijo ( po več kot 40 minutah čakanja, da nekdo pride k mizi) in da če bi sijalo sonce bi bilo drugače in nas se bi motilo sedeti zunaj (Kaj smo potem počeli zadnjih 40 minut ?). Zunaj se menimo kaj storiti, ženski del je vmes povprašal neke goste o jedeh . Od tu podatek o razkuhanih njokih in "sumljivi" divjačinski omaki. Nato so k mizi prišli še otroci in posredovali podatek o crknjenem zajcu. Padla je odločitev, da bomo jedli drugje, ker nas tu očitno ne bodo postregli v kratkem času. Na poti proč opazimo zanemarjeno ogrado s konji do trebuha v blatu.
Ni problem počakati na prosto mizo, navsezadnje smo za nepospravljeno mizo sedeli precej časa in pokazali dobro mero potrpežljivosti. Problem pa nastane, če k (nepospravljeni) mizi kljub večim obiskom šanka ni nikogar. K temu pa dodajmo še starejšega osebka, ki se je odločil, da bo pametoval gostom, ki 40 minut čakajo, da nekdo pride k mizi in vsaj pojasni situacijo in pobere naročila.
K mizi, tisti zunanji, rezervirani, kjer smo vas čakali, niste prišli. Čakali smo vas dolgo in nazadnje odšli...
Read moreI give such a poor review mainly because of the fact that they keep a bear in a tiny cage as a tourist magnet. Awful and upsetting! The bear was clearly not happy, pacing up and down. On another note - the waiter serving us was very grumpy and always made us feel like we are bothering him. The food on the menu is box standard and without any imagination. On a positive note: the accommodation was nice, the cook made us a special vegan mean of vegetables and rice upon request, which was very yummy and should be put on the menu!! The 0,70€ per glass red wine was surprisingly good. They also prepared a special breakfast for us which was also very good and gave us fresh fruits. The total price we paid was very reasonable. If it wasn’t for the bear situation it could have been a 4-5 star review but as a person caring about animal welfare, I cannot...
