The Daily Coffee Café Burgundy — Restaurant in Burgundy Estate

I stopped by for a coffee and ordered an Americano while waiting for the kitchen to open for breakfast. I’d just taken my insulin and needed to eat something small to avoid a drop in blood sugar, so I quietly opened a small packet of chips I bought nearby.

The manager told me outside food isn’t allowed—which I totally understand—but I explained it was a health issue, not a meal replacement, and I had already placed an order. It would be great if there were a bit more understanding for customers with possible medical needs instead of assumptions. I planned to eat there properly once the kitchen opened, but sometimes a quick snack is literally lifesaving.

Would love to return, just hoping for a bit more flexibility...

We have had lunch at this establishment multiple times, but unfortunately, today’s experience was deeply disappointing.

The chips were old and tasted stale. The salad was not fresh, clearly prepared far in advance. The cheese sauce was off and had a sour taste. The schnitzel was poorly prepared and lacked flavor or proper texture. Not only was the food subpar, but my colleague’s meal was also beyond edible. Despite this, we were charged 50% of the bill for eating a portion of the food, even though we didn’t raise complaints during the meal.

While we’ve enjoyed past visits, this experience has left us with no intention of returning. A serious improvement in food quality and customer...

Lovely cafe with outdoor seating that serves an all-day breakfast. A wide variety of options on the menu with good coffee. The tin cup is highly recommended. The coffee freezo is my go-to on a hot day. They serve a delicious homemade cookie to accompany the coffees so much so that we buy a bag of these cookies everytime we visit. They have a kiddies menu as well. Shout out to Emma who has served us a few times over the last 3 - 4 visits. We noted how much we loved Tabasco and were disappointed that the cafe didn't have it as an option. A week later we visited and what do you know, a bottle of Tabasco sauce was brought to the table! How's that for great service! Highly recommend...
