FOOD POISONING!!!!!
We purchased 10 wings, a loaded box and 5 streetwise 3s but we got streetwise 2. We had to drive back to shop to get the right order, no apologies no compensation. So the 1 piece of chicken was warm while the rest was cold. Keeping in mind they made such an error with the shop being empty as well as the drive through.
But the reason for the low review is actually because after eating i became sick in the middle of the night. I woke up from severe abdominal pain, and i felt light headed. I then got diarrhoea and vomited all the food up. I became pale, I was sweating and almost fainted. The some of the family had cramps as well. I phoned the next day to inform the manager, he gave no apologies and told me to not review on Google as he will find out what happened. He said he would call back in 5mins, he called back after 30mins and passed the phone to a lady, who told me food poisoning only happens 8hrs after eating. I told her I ate at 9pm and threw up at about 5/6am side, I can’t exactly tell as I was in survival mode, leaning on the walls for the pain I was in. She wanted me to go to the doctor and get a medical certificate to state it was food poisoning. I informed her that I am not wasting money on a medical certificate to prove to THEM I had poisoning. They would probably compensate me with a voucher to spend by THEM. As a customer I am informing you I became ill, and you want me to pay R500 to prove that to you.
It’s evident and I was resting and got my medication from the chemist who informed me it was food poisoning. Kfc was the only food i had that day as i do intermittent fasting, I only had a sandwich 8am that day. Still No apologies whatsoever, until I informed the lady I’m still going to write a review as your manager failed to give acknowledgment for food poisoning that could’ve put me in hospital. He was more worried about the review. If he had apologised I would’ve not wrote here. I simply wanted to inform them so that it doesn’t happen to the next person. Our family always buys from this branch bc the chicken isn’t that oily here. This is for the few times we eat kfc, and i usually get a few cramps the next day bc i thought im just sensitive to brined chicken or wings but this took the cake. Will not be returning back to...
Read moreFirstly, let me say that I absolutely dislike the idea of bashing businesses with negative reviews. It takes a lot for me to take to a profile to leave negative feedback. The experience with KFC Rondebosch East just crossed the line.
For starters, the quality of the food was extremely disappointing. I ordered a Boxmaster and received the smallest, most poorly presented Boxmaster I have ever received from any KFC Branch.
We ordered Loaded Fries and the fries were cold and stale.
We ordered a snack burger for our little daughter and they forgot to add it to the order. We informed the delivery driver and he advised that we should contact the restaurant. We did so and the staff member said they'd look into it and get back to us. The staff speak to you as though you're lying about the missing item (I.e the person that packaged the things insists they added it). Seriously, does one have to go through all this effort "to prove" that a R28 snack burger was not added to a package? Go check the CCTV footage to see if it was added.
It's clear that this branch is being managed poorly and that the staff do not know how their actions are impacting the image of the business. As business owners, we understand the importance of good customer experiences. There is no Emphasis on that here. Please correct your food quality issues as well as the way in which you handle your clients. This will go a long way in ensuring that you uphold the reputation and integrity of the business.

Read moreI bought food today 21 July 2024 at 2pm. We asked for no breast pieces before we paid. They advised us that there's an 8 minutes waiting time we said OK and parked infront. The 8 minute's ended up to be 22mins but we waited. One of the staff brought our food to the car, we checked the food and noticed it's all breast pieces and the mash and gravy isn't in the bag and called the staff member back to the car.. she said yes, we then explained to her our order is wrong, she said OK take out the breast we will change it ,I then said no we can't do that and touch the chicken that you'll end up giving to another customer so rather take the food inside and change there, she took the food, rolling her eyes saying "Oh my God and walked away with our food. I followed her inside the store to , as I walked all the staff talked in their Xhosa language and laughed while shes uttering words in her Xhosa language I didn't understand, even the manager laughed looking at me. They have no respect for customers at this branch....
