The interior design and feel of this restaurant is bang on style. It’s just a pity that all the tables feel very exposed, probably resulting in it being extremely noisy when we visited for dinner (granted, it was quite full). The service is truly excellent, from making the booking all the way through to table service. We had calamari for starters - one fried portion and one grilled. The grilled one was my favourite, very flavourful. For mains we had Chicken Limone with zucchini fries and Pasta Alfredo. The Chicken Limone was about average, and although crispy, the zucchini fries were quite salty. However, the Alfredo pasta was regrettably below average: the sauce was too thin and the dish was too salty - similar to another review here. Someone in the kitchen must have a very heavy hand when it comes to salt. This brought down the experience considerably, as the meal was not enjoyable. We visited Mezza Luna Caffe, which is a new Italian restaurant situated in Cobble Walk, Durbanville. All I can say is WOW, WOW!

Their decor gives a beautiful modern sophisticated ambiance.

We were welcomed by one of the owners Dino and their friendly staff. Our waiter Cameron was professional and well informed. Their food was exceptional with well balanced flavours and the portions are substantial. They also make their own pasta👌🏼. If I had to rate the whole evening experience out of 10, I would insist on a 11 /10. They are on Dineplan which makes it easier to book and I would recommend to anyone wanting good Italian food to give them a try. They are still new on the block but certainly know their flavours in food. They do have a good selection of food on their menu, so it's not only just pastas and pizza.

I had the pleasure of trying an improvised peanut butter smoothie that completely exceeded my expectations. Crafted with creativity and care, this smoothie wasn’t just a drink – it was an experience. Rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced, it hit every note just right. If you’re a fan of peanut butter, you have to try it and even if you’re not, this might just change your mind!

A big thank you to the team involved – from the thoughtful waiter who kept checking in, to the manager who made sure I was kept in the loop every step of the way. It’s rare to feel that seen and considered, and it definitely added to the overall experience.
